Galway Golf Club in Galway

We went there to the restaurant.And we're seated out by the huge window. The view is absolutely amazing. They are staffed with a good number of very efficient and helpful employees. The appointments for the restaurant are all tasteful and nicely done. This golf club has been around since 1859, so they have had two centuries to get it right. Did I mention the food? I got the salmon and it had a delicate lemon sauce on top of it.Along with carrots, new potatoes, cauliflower and mashed potatoes. Perfectly cooked. My companions had the Irish roast beef in the pan fried chicken. I was able to get a bite before she ate it all. Absolutely delicious. I'm sad to report I did not get any of the chicken. I did not take pictures because it is a private club.

The food here is great. the stake is €16 and you wouldn't be hungry for two days.

Here for a lunch with friends. Food top class. Golf competition going on that day. Having a drink afterwards were moved around, told where not to sit by those in blazers. Staff very good and friendly and for food alone it's recomended. However, if going to dine, make sure no golf competition taking place. Otherwise, the blazers call the shots. Back here again as last year, Top class.

Challenging and difficult course in a sublime seashore setting. You can taste the salt air! Mind the west wind impacting play on a good number of holes. Impeccably maintained. Good scoring opportunities on 11 and 15. A tough run for the ladies on 5 through 7, each one a par 5 making par at 37 for the ladies on the front 9. David the Pro is a fine gentleman who will enjoy chatting with you about golf and other important issues. Members were all friendly greeting me, knowing that I was not “from here.”

The food was good but coffee was bad.Staff were nice. Lots of parking spaces and great views of the sea.
