Best restaurant by far in our Ireland trip.
We can not show you any food pictures because we could not wait to eat it. The service and atmosphere was warm and lovely!
The food was excellent! Seafood chowder, sea bass, scallops. And the dessert was a chocolate concoction with cherries. I should have started with dessert and worked backwards because it was fabulous. The place was packed with mostly locals which is always a good sign. Eat there. You’ll be so glad
We are on holiday in Killarney from County Down and by good luck came upon this restaurant this evening. I never write reviews but feel compelled to do so after the most fabulous meal we had. It was very reasonably priced and the flavours were exquisite! I know I sound overly effusive but honestly I haven't had such good food/combination of flavours in many years - and we eat out pretty regularly! Ps the complimentary wheaten bread and tapinade was an additional plus 😁
We stayed in Killarney for 1 night and were lucky enough to come upon Garret's for our evening meal. The staff are lovely and their food recommendations were fantastic.
We went for the 3 course early bird menu and I'm delighted to say it was one of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had.
I had a delicious black pudding starter with a sauce that was unbelievable. My wife had the risotto and said it was the best she had ever had.
We shared our mains, I had Sea bass, my wife the chicken and both were gorgeous. The flavours delicate and not at all over powering.
Dessert was a calypso coffee for me and a tasty ginger cake/pear/berry ice cream combo for my better half. Both were delicious.
If you're in Killarney I would highly recommend a visit to Garret's.
SUPERB!!! We were looking for somewhere to eat and happened to wander in. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were incredible. Then the food came. What an absolute treat. It was exquisitely presented and the flavours exceeded hope and expectation. It was so good that we ate way more than we needed to and the walk back to our accommodation was most welcome. An experience to be had if you are in Killarney.
