Georges Patisserie in Slane

I already miss the tart with whipped cream and berries in a crunchy coating! If there was such a bakery in Bucharest, I would be a daily customer. Congratulations to the boss, the team. Professionals. The prices are lower than in Romania and the ingredients are natural.

We visited twice during our stay for a lunch and a breakfast and we bought baked goods to take away. A lovely place. Friendly and warm staff highly recommended.

Beautiful bread and having just walked up the Hill of Slane and back down; a welcome coffee and apple turnover and other patisserie. Baker cares about their product and it shows.

This was my first time at the bakery, we ordered 4 times for takeaways and I was so disappointed with the quality of each baked good we received. I got a chocolate croissant which I was apprehensive about to begin with as it just didn’t look like your normal croissant and it wasn’t. The pastry was not flakey it was stodgy and hard. There only was chocolate on the outside and it was tasteless. The apple turnover had the same issue, pastry was thick stodgy and dry. The two blue berry scones we ordered we tasteless and dry. I was so disappointed as I was having guests over and everyone said the same, “this is awful.” And the worst part was I had paid €10 for it. I’m sorry to say we will not be back.

Truly gorgeous patisserie. I was served by a very friendly and helpful gentleman. Really beautiful atmosphere. Hubby adored the chocolate croissant. It had "just the right amount of chocolate" apparently. Coffee "to go" was really good. This is a gem of a place. Definitely worth the visit. Thank you to all at George's patisserie.

Repeat visit today. As good as ever. Don’t pass thru Slane without stopping to eat in or take out some bread or cakes. Top notch. Had lunch here recently. Great hospitality and value. Food was great and fabulous selection of bread and patisserie. Highly recommend a visit or 2 or more.

Update: Sept 24 - Changed layout to make it a bit bigger. Had a delicious chicken burger with cheese and crispy bacon 🥓, it was fab. Can get busy at lunch so might struggle to get a table. Delicious pastries and food. Always a delightful visit.

Great time at Georges Patisserie. Lunch was simple and very tasty, the bread delicious and the scones too! The server was very friendly and warm. We highly recommend for a simple and typical moment.
