The best restaurants in Slane

19/04/2026: DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED! We came as a group of 9 to stay with you on the last day of our otherwise wonderful trip. I booked weeks in advance and received multiple confirmation emails from you. When we arrived, SOMEHOW only my room was not ready so the lady at the reception asked me to wait a little. We had to catch our van to the museum as we were already late there. Even though she said that my room was now ready before we left, I said “okay thank you, I’ll get in when we’re back” When we came back after 3 hours, there was a young man at the reception who told me that they had no room for me at that hotel now and I had to stay at the Old Post Office building across the street!!!!! I said “Excuse me?? All my friends are here and I had a room in this hotel - why now another building?” - then he said Booking.com sometimes changes venues unannounced! I have been working with Booking.com for years and this never happened. I was exhausted, frustrated, about to cry. Things got worse when he gave me the key to that Old Post Office room. It was across the street and TINY! I came back to say that I will absolutely not stay there. One of our friends who didnt have a prior reservation apparently got a room while I was told that I had to wait for my room for cleaning! When I insisted, the receptionist gave the key to room 13 which is the smallest and most uncomfortable room I have ever stayed in my life. Probably less than 10m2. I paid the same amount as my friends (actually even more than what is advised on Booking.com) and they all got great rooms with double bed and closet, entrance etc and I got a tiny attic room with a bed thats impossible to sleep in. You have managed to ruin the last day of my 16 day trip when I was already so tired and exhausted. Food staff were friendly but unfortunately my entire stay is ruined thanks to your reception skills and unprofessionalism. NEVER AGAIN!!!

11/01/2026: We had dinner in the hotel last night and I can honestly say it wasn’t short of incredible. There were 20 of us and everyone was extremely impressed. Beef was incredible. Service was also A1. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.
