Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming! Super spacious and clean room with very comfortable beds and very nice shower. Both breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious! Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay here this weekend - couldn't fault the hotel and service was excellent. Staff were really pleasant and helpful, breakfast was lovely and it was excellent value for money. Thank you - we will definitely be back!

We had a great family lunch today at Gleesons. I’ve been here many times over the years for coffee and a scone but never for lunch. The food was excellent. My sons had the fish and chips and it was really delicious, the portion was very generous and the fish was lovely and crispy. The staff were very friendly especially the German lady with the dark hair and the young gentleman who was working his first shift (he’s a great lad, ye need to keep him on 😁), we will definitely be back!

Abbey Hotel Roscommon

14/05/2025: Great day for my daughter's communion and having dinner and drinks with family. Rooms are dated, and their could have been more outdoor seating. Maybe pergola area.
13/05/2025: As the hotel is old, you can expect many "attractions" related to it. Unfortunately, there are many issues that are purely organizational, such as a kettle set connected to nowhere. The hotel has ****, but only because of the state of ownership of the swimming pool, which is very neglected. In the swimming pool changing room with 4 showers, there was no soap in any cabin. The state of cleanliness in the changing room leaves much to be desired, as does the steam sauna or swimming pool hall.
