First the plusses...great location, good menu, friendly staff, lovely olde world pub. Negatives..slow service, portions could be bigger, should be something like mushy peas included with fish and chips. My biggest problem however was when I went to pay for a round of drinks from the bar and it was only later I noticed there was a charge of 23% vat added to the bill !!! This meant a glass of wine which was €9 now came to €11.07 and the pints that were approx €6 50 were now costing €7.99 ! Do they really want their restaurant customers queueing at the bar for their drinks ?? This would definitely put me off returning to the Glyde Inn. Get it sorted !!
