Great place!! Best fish & chips and Scampi & chips you could imagine! A simple menu but all dishes prepared to perfection. Staff are kind and the place is spotless, a true find!

First time I’ve ever seen a fish and chip shop measure the internal temperature of the hake to see if it’s just right. Outstanding fish and chips, light tempura style batter on the fish, proper potatoes made into chips. I’ve just finished mine and am already looking forward to same again.

Delicious food, unbelievable quality ingredients, spotless premises and lovely staff. The best takeaway i have ever visited,will most definitely be back,such a pity i live in Limerick,but i will travel the distance to enjoy the quality food.

Amazing gluten free fish and chips, amazing atmosphere!!!

While enjoying the atmosphere of Kenmare we lost track of time and suddenly it was 9pm and restaurant kitchens were closing. We headed up to Gourmet Grill on Main Street and we’re relieved to hear it was open till 10pm. We ordered the Scampi and chips and a burger and chips and two soft drinks. The staff of 3 were very busy cleaning everything towards the end of the shift. The place was spotless. We were the only customers at that hour but our food on proper plates with cutlery arrived piping hot. My burger was excellent with cheese and bacon and a fresh bun. The scampi was superb. Huge fresh prawns from a Kerry based fishmonger. The only problem we had was there were too many chips. We couldn’t finish them. They were the real fresh cut chips from real spuds perfectly cooked. Other customers arrived and as they were foreign visitors the staff were most helpful. A top class operation of hard working local people in a friendly family atmosphere. The scampi was under €15! Definitely will be back.
