Govindas in Dublin

Amazing vegetarian Indian food. We each had a 'small plate' and the portions were generous - definitely enough for a filling evening meal. Good selection of options available for the plates too. Would definitely recommend.

The food is nice but the toilets are horrifying. Please separate men's and women's toilets. Enough men do not respect public toilets that any unisex toilets are disgusting compared to women only toilets. Urine all over the seat and floor.

Had a great meal here. There was room to sit in (Friday, 6pm) and I enjoyed all the different dishes on my plate - 3 choices (I chose vegan, so had a bean stew, a vegetable bake and tofu in sauce) plus rice and dal. I believe it also supports the community, as on our way we saw some people serving hot food to a queue of people on the street and later the servers came back to this place.

Large portions. Delicious. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff.

When in town, I always come here. Staff is nice an food is good. A little oasis in the bustling city of Dublin.

I stopped by here for lunch yesterday and had a really great experience. I ordered the small plate, which came with lentil curry, brown rice, tofu, and cabbage — a perfectly satisfying portion for one person and very reasonably priced. I also had a samosa and a lassi ,and both were excellent. Overall, the food was fresh and flavourful, the ambience was relaxed and welcoming, and the value for money was fantastic. Would definitely come back.

One of the best vegetarian places I’ve tried in Dublin. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, the people working there were very welcoming and made the experience even better.Definitely a place I would come back to in Dublin.

Govindas has CHANGED to be fair! As a regular, The portions are gone "tiny" with the turn over of staff being mind blowing. I now call them toddler portions. It all depends who serves you on the day. The volume of people in & out of the food counter is shocking! Particularly on a Sunday it's like the over flow of a ceremony takes place in the dining area and basement. It really turns me off eating my meal witnessing such traffic in and out of these areas without hygiene consideration or germ prevention. Absolutely loved this place for 5+ years, be surprised if not shut down in the coming months!

I've been coming here regularly for the past several years and I'm sorry to say that food quality has declined recently. The last twice I ate here, my meal was not hot enough. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have given back the plate to be heated in the microwave. I would have thought that the food needs to be kept above a certain temperature for food safety.
