Grapevine in Dublin

We found Grapevine after a long walk. The warm colours of the cafe bar were welcoming. Inside, there was a choice of cafe style on the lower for and a stylish upper deck for a full meal experience. The four of us loved it and would go again.

I was passing through the city and needed something to eat. I was a little disappointed with the flavors of the food I'd found in Dublin, so I went right in and ordered the octopus salad: wonderful! The combination of flavors was spectacular! Definitely a place where I would return to eat the same food and try other dishes! It's a place to experience the combination of flavors. If you enjoy food, I recommend trying that salad. The service was outstanding and attentive.

We had a lovely meal at The Grapevine last night and can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. Whether you're a local or just visiting Dalkey, The Grapevine is well worth a stop. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant is absolutely a must for high quality food and reasonable prices. Service was superb and the owner/manager is a highly knowledgeable professional man !

Have been coming here for years, food is usually fine. But I was really surprised (and disappointed) to see a service charge added for just two people. Don’t get me wrong, we always tip when the service is good, but automatically tacking it onto the bill feels presumptuous. If you're going to include a service charge, the service should be flawless to justify it. Otherwise, it just comes off as a bit arrogant. Do better.

Kind and friendly was a while ago but fond memory of the meal.

Always a lovely experience at The Grapevine. Whether you’re stopping by for a drink outside in the sun or sitting down for a delicious lunch or dinner, it never disappoints. We recently attended a wine tasting paired with a three-course dinner, and it was an absolutely wonderful evening - a great atmosphere, excellent food and most importantly, lovely wines. Highly recommend!
