Hidden gem in Mayo If you're looking for a basecamp that genuinely caters to both kids and adults, this is it. Traveling as a family of five, it can be tough to find a place that works for everyone, but the setup here is brilliant. The staff are incredibly welcoming, the views are stunning and it just has a great, old-world, relaxed atmosphere. A few things we really loved: The Greenway is literally on the doorstep: The Great Western Greenway runs straight through the hotel grounds. There’s a really handy bike rental place on-site, and because the route is paved and traffic-free, it was also the absolute perfect spot for me to step right out the door and get a run in. Great facilities for the whole family: It’s rare to find a hotel that keeps everyone this happy. The kids club and the big indoor pool were a massive hit, and having a sauna, steam room, cold plunge and jacuzzi for the adults was a bonus. Perfect location: You really couldn't ask for a better jumping-off point. It’s the gateway to Achill Island and Wild Nephin National Park, and you are surrounded by gorgeous beaches (Keem beach for example). Westport is also just a short drive away when you want to wander around a town full of great restaurants and bars. Brilliant food: The food was top tier. They do a massive buffet breakfast - ideal to fuel up for an active day - and the evening meals in the restaurant and bar were fantastic. If you want an easy, comfortable, family-friendly hotel with the best of Mayo's outdoors right outside your window, I can't recommend this place enough.

As a family of 5 we enjoyed a really wonderful Easter Sunday meal in the hotel restaurant. The food was high quality, the level of service was both professional and exceptional. The view was spectacular and the overall ambiance was memorable. As well as being competitively priced we recommend the hotel and its staff unequivocally.

….an update review.Stayed here again a yr or so later.Cannot fault it at all.Joanne(I think.Gave us an upgrade to the Lennon suite) on the front desk is amazing.6 star service from her,Id actually feel guilty if i didn't return just because how professional she is .The hotel is just one of those places that you feel comfortable in but appreciated as well…… The walk behind the hotel on the western way is fab. Stayed for 2 nights recently. Really enjoyed the stay. Room was fine and clean.Big modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and the the attention from staff was great.From the service in the bar to the lady who ran out of reception to open the door that leads to the lift. You can see they are making an effort to keep guests happy. It’s only a 20 min drive to Achill and we spent 2 days out there. We didn’t eat in the hotel but did try the local pub which was good. The pub charged €10 for a pint of Guinness and a vodka and 7 up👏👏👏👏 The Dublin barman was chatty. But back to the hotel.We will definitely return.
