20/03/2024: Had the most amazing meal in the restaurant from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble. We had a beautiful Chardonnay to complement our meal, great service can’t wait until our next visit.

10/03/2024: I really enjoyed my meal here. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, everyone working there was really friendly and helpful and the food was perfect at the end of a long day. We had garlic mushrooms, Brie, creamy chicken with champ, a rib eye steak and a fruity pavlova for dessert. Every thing was fresh, beautifully cooked and the mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious. A lovely restaurant, a very nice experience and very reasonably priced.

03/04/2024: Great place with a great view on the Atlantic Ocean. We had lunch during Easter Sunday, food is good. It's really close to the Achill Island.

07/08/2023: The location is perfect. We have always enjoyed coming here for years. We’ve had a family weddings and other events at the hotel and always loved it up to now.
However, the food in the bar is really not good. Poor quality, tasteless and way over priced. One dish was described as coming with a salad, when it arrived it had a few dried bits of lettuce. My friend asked for more salad which, when it arrived, was really good but they added it to the bill as an extra. Bad service considering the menu stated it came with a salad. Really not worth it.
It’s really disappointing given the location and the history behind this hotel. The food in the bar really needs to be improved.
15/07/2023: Pretty painful experience. No cocktail menu, and might as well not have had a bartender as they didn't even recognize the names of some of the most common drinks. Pizza was like a rock hard cracker. Caesar salad had some sort of thin garlic dressing that didn't even come close. Fish and chips was good at least. Terribly slow and confusing service.
