I found this spot on a visit to Cork a few years ago and was delighted to find it again two weeks ago. We went both mornings of our stay. The food was delicious on all three visits. One of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere in Ireland. There's a reason why it is always full of people! Staff were lovely too, including the owner.

Had breakfast here last weekend, it was delicious! I had the mushrooms and my partner had the avacado and both were extremely tasty! Would recommend.

Good food but….. Top notch food and service. Only problem I had was the way the owner spoke to the staff. He was very snappy and made us uncomfortable and you could see on the faces of the staff, it wasn’t his first time acting like that. The staff were amazing, so welcoming and polite. Whilst the food is wonderful and well presented it’s not a place I’ll go back to again due to the owners behaviour

The sausage bap was dripping in butter, and I like butter. Unfortunately the sausages were tasteless and not appealing. The cakes looked wonderful but were very dense. The lemon curd would benefit from a lighter mix. The coffee cake is again very dense with a very bitter aftertaste. Unfortunate, we had been looking forward to our visit. Below average for cork city.

15/06/2025: Friendly service. Classic Irish food. I tried the blue cheese wings: good, but quite spicy.
10/06/2025: Went to Clancys for a meal & drinks. Meal was lovely couldn’t fault it. The only thing that left it down is the glasses were dirty with lipstick stains on everyone that you get. I got rose wine & had to change my glass & when another glass of wine was brought down to the table there was lipstick all over the top of the glass. They apologised & I got it changed. Lipstick is really hard to get off glasses unless you rub it off before putting them into the dishwasher. Check your glasses when you’re getting a drink they can be dirty
