Loved the cosy living room vibe of this place which hits you along with smell of well worn carpet (I know I'm making that sound horrible, it's lovely) and a million and one toasties. Loads of locals sitting deep in coversation, toasty in front of them which is flanked by a pot of mustard and a pint of Guinness, so many locals doing it it was almost like a uniform- love it! Lads behind the bar were stars, real grafters and there's a swagger to how they carry out their work, the less observant would put it down as arrogance when in fact it's just them taking a real pride in their job. Was great watching them work firing out pint after pint. I've given 5 stars for food, I didn't have a toasty but man alive did they smell good! Now I'm back home I'm really regretting not ordering one

I love this pub! My first time inside! And the service, as always, was impeccable!!! We had already been there in the summer, and we enjoyed the outside area where the waiters were always coming to assist us if we needed anything! I highly recommend it!

Was OK for a quiet pint, went at lunchtime and didn't get the vibes that others mentioned so take that into account as probably not peak hours, but definitely serviceable for a drink. Had to leave a review though as went there to grab a toasty as others had described it as "delicious" and "best toasty in Dublin". Objectively not true. It was possibly the most basic toasty I've eaten. Especially in comparison to the other options that are available nearby - that's fine in itself for a quick pit stop bite with a drink but disappointing when you walked there to experience what others had described their lunch to be! Must be either shills or never eaten a toastie before. Would go for another pint but wouldn't grab food from there.

Came for the famous toastie and pint deal ! It did not disappoint. Of course it was raining and I popped in here to wait it out.

Was there yesterday loved every second doesn't open until 12.30 on a sunday as the irish licence for serving the red stuff got there for 1pm and it was rammed but got a table outside which was fine outside heaters on and mr sun came out so all good the main reason for going as u expect was the guinness and cheese n ham toasty delivered on every level guinness was top drawer creamy smooth just amazing service was great even for being crazy busy but I couldn't fault it be back soon for sure
