Grogan's Castle Lounge in Dublin

Great pub but please get coat hangers on the doors of women’s toilets - winter is rough with big coat and no where to put it

Went to quite a few pubs on our trip to Dublin but this place is the real deal!! Was the most memorable. Guinness was perfect, toasties delicious, bartenders and atmosphere just like a pub in Dublin you would imagine except better in our view. :) Add it to your list!!!

I’ve been going here for 25+ years and it is my favorite pub I’ve ever been to, hands down. Amazing service, good toasties, perfect pints of Guinness, amazing art and a very nice Dublin cross-section of people. I love it.

Grogan’s has the best bartenders in Dublin. No question. We walked in on a Friday night and the place was absolutely packed, yet I barely made it two steps through the door before the bartender locked eyes with me and yelled “You okay?” while already reaching for a pint glass. That's elite service! This is a true Irish pub in every sense. The bartenders are actual Irish locals who know exactly what they are doing and keep the place moving all while pouring a perfect pint of Guinness. And the best part is that even while they are absolutely busting their asses behind the bar, they still find a moment to chat, throw a joke your way and make you feel like you have been coming there for years. There is never an empty pint at Grogan’s. The atmosphere is lively and exactly what you want from a Dublin pub on a busy night, without the touristy Temple Bar atmosphere. If you want a place where the bartenders are faster than your thirst, Grogan’s is it.

An authentic tavern where you sit at shared tables with the regulars. Highly recommended.

Bartenders truly want to make sure everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. Super cozy place...carpet in the front (COZY)...great crowd. If every pub was like this, we would be all blessed.

Went into Grogans for a cider to get warmed up from the cold. I felt completely comfortable sitting down at the bar, the bar tenders were all lovely and kind. Fast, great service. Nothing to complain about.

Great atmosphere! As tourists, we received excellent service; the waiters were friendly and smiling. A very pleasant atmosphere!

One of the best pubs in Dublin. Guinness is too tier. One of the best, if not the best pints in the city. Ham and Cheese toastie was also great. Always worth popping by.
