We were touring the Ring of Kerry and stopped here for lunch. A small but clean restaurant with high-quality produce. The best oysters I've ever had. Oddly, they didn't have Guinness on tap. Perfect Irish coffee! Definitely a place to return to.

We just got home after a wonderful week. It always feels like coming home. Thanks to your family. A week of fishing with skipper Jacky oShea was fantastic. And the food at the Stone House was delicious.

Fabulous experience! We had planned to eat elsewhere but they were randomly closed. Great luck for us as that is how we found Stone House in Sneem! The best steak our whole trip!! & probably the best service too! They lady was so attentive and helpful, she even gave coloring pages for our toddler. We will definitely eat here if visiting again. We had lunch here on our way to Kenmare. The fish and chips was pretty good. It is intended as a wine bar, so I should have had wine instead of Guinness (which came in a can). The landlady was nice enough. I might try a different place next time, though.

This review is for the restaurant only; we didn't sleep here. A delightful restaurant in the village of Sneem, a stop on the Ring of Kerry. We dined there two nights in a row because the service is familiar, cheerful, and friendly, the fish is incredibly fresh, and the oysters are excellent. Besides the oysters, I recommend the salmon, both grilled and smoked. The fish is perfectly cooked (we tried salmon, trout, and sole), and there's also a lobster tank for those who want it. Those who opted for meat found it delicious. Excellent value. Highly recommended!

Hungry Knight

20/11/2025: I dream of this fish and chips. It’s incredible. The fish is cooked to perfection. John is an absolute gentle man and makes everyone feel so welcome. I’ve never seen a chipper with a wood burning stove inside! Absolutely incredible. Fish and chips by a fire was never as good as it is the Hungry Knight. Counting down the days until I’m back there again.
08/10/2025: Super friendly service & was great value. We shared a garlic cheesy chips as a snack before dinner and they were delicious! Somebody couldn't even wait for me to take the picture!

Sacre Coeur

29/01/2026: The Reality Check: Sacre Coeur Restaurant Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the price. I see people moaning about the cost of a meal here, but let’s look at the actual math of living in Ireland in 2026. The average house price is hitting half a million Euro. The average wage is stuck around €16 an hour. If you think a chef—a skilled professional—is going to cook you a high-quality meal for pocket change when their own costs are upwards of €20–€30 per household head, you’re living in a fantasy land. The Lowdown: The Food: It’s incredible. Fresh fish, crab claws that actually taste like the ocean, and portions that don't leave you hungry. This is a family-run gem, not a factory. The Vibe: Proper traditional Irish hospitality. Cosy, warm, and authentic. The Price Tag: Expect to pay €50–€60 per person for a full experience. The Verdict: Ireland is not a cheap country. Quality costs money. If you can’t afford to pay for the talent in the kitchen and the atmosphere of a place like Sacre Coeur, you have two very simple options: Get a job that pays better. Go to McDonald’s. The Euro Saver menu exists for a reason and it suits some people just fine. But if you want a real dinner in a gorgeous village like Sneem, stop complaining and pay the price for the quality you're getting. If you don't like it, go elsewhere. For the rest of us who appreciate great food—this place is a must-visit.
18/10/2025: Don't know why but just didn't expect something like this in a small vilage! Amaizing
