This used to be the best carvery ever. It was such a treat not having to cook on a lazy Sunday evening. The portions are still quite generous, but the standard has been plummeting for quite some time now. Yesterday evening's dinner was a congealed, gelatinous affair. The meat was the only good thing on my plate. The mash had no molecular integrity, the cabbage was soggy and the white sauce was cheap and tasteless. My husband is vegetarian and had a plate of veg and my son had the kids' portion and it still came to nearly €40.

Staff was amazing, very accommodating, let us in early to set up the room and even allowed us to come back the next day to take our decorations. The food was lovely, only issue was we had to use their DJ for the event. We were told that we could give him a playlist that he'd play. The DJ guy was an older guy, immensely rude, I mean shockingly abrasive and combative unnecessarily, he kept turning down the music so there was no sound at the back of the function room which ruined the vibe and sone of our guests left, we had to go up ask him to turn it up and change the music many times, also he reshuffled the playlist so the music that was carefully curated was all jumbled up, he added in his own songs that were actually completely awful and didnt match the vibe, think country music like Kenny Rodgers or something for a goth birthday/engagement party. I Specifically asked him not to sing happy birthday or anything and he played stevie wonder happy birthday. Congratulated the wrong person then for the birthday. I would definitely recommend the venue itself the room was great, a really good size we had about 50 to 60 guests plenty of room and a good sized dance floor but book without the Dj get your own DJ the guy almost ruined our event.

We came at 9:30am opening time to have the traditional Irish breakfast and we felt very welcomed. We were offered a table that suited our need and the breakfast was amazing and not overly expensive.
