Hartley's in Dublin

Had a fantastic lunch at Hartley's on Sunday. We went as a group of four and everyone in the party was blown away by the service and the quality of the food. We ordered the Sunday roast beef (28-day aged Sirloin), The Salmon Wellington, Baked Halibut special and the Leek & Gruyère tart. I wish we had taken photos- each dish was beautifully presented, suffused with flavour and cooked to perfection 👌. The wine selection here is excellent- you can tell that they've taken time to select a balanced and interesting list of wines. For example, it's one of the only places we've found in Ireland with Falanghina on the menu - an Italian ancient grape varietal which pairs brilliantly with seafood. For dessert we selected Prosecco Poached Pear and the Pistachio Tiramisu, both of which were gorgeous, but I was very impressed by the Tiramisu in particular. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the General Manager - Igor - has always gone out of his way to look after us and ensure we have a fantastic time. Thanks to him and the whole team. As a venue it manages to be that rare and valuable thing in a community - the perfect venue for both a special occasion AND somewhere you could pop in for a keenly-priced midweek treat thanks to the early bird menus and other offers. This is our third time eating at Hartley's in the past year and we're very much looking forward to going back again. While there are lots of nice places to eat in Dun Laoghaire, in our opinion this place is a significant cut above in terms of the quality of the cooking and presentation and I'd highly recommend it.

Turned up without a booking and they managed to fit in 7 of us. Food and drink were absolutely excellent. Really nice place, would be happy to dine here again.

Lunch with 6 tennis friends-not many there do atmosphere a bit lacking -food good-seafood pancake duck breast cod &chips -and despite few customers service good and friendly-lunch menu good value wine list good but a touch pricey

Really decent food here, we have been a few times and the food is really worthwhile, the wine list is long and interesting but sometimes if it is around their rotation time you might not get what you want. Totally recommend the Sunday roast too, if you are there then.

Beautiful restaurant, modern yet cosy right at the marina. Great sbd friendly service, medium price point for the area. Lovey menu, choose from the express lunch menus or the a la cart. Fish was delicious. Try the Baileys dessert!
