Fab fresh Gluten free sandwich & Soup. Popped in for lunch with a friend Busy Restaurant but great service and great value for money.

It's fifty years since I last ate in this Sligo institution, and it was delightfully old fashioned even then. I was amazed to find it unchanged! The decor is lovely, with an airy cafe feel, though they've added a little extension. Packed to the door with locals - always a good sign - we were lucky to get a table. (It got a lot quieter at 2pm as everyone returned to work.) I wasn't expecting much, but the food really does taste homemade ! Quite how they manage this I don't know. We had the steak & mushroom pie and the glazed ham. Both great value for money. We highly recommend Lyons cafe for lunch.

The Glasshouse

09/01/2025: Room was spacious and beds were comfortable with a nice view of the river and town. Food in restaurant was good and friendly staff. Breakfast was terrible, when we got our food served up to us by extremely rude breakfast woman it was very cold and bland. Another thing is the awful feeling you get of staff standing around watching you eating breakfast at table. Not very nice and no privacy. I counted 6 staff standing around doing nothing.
04/01/2025: The rooms in this hotel are quite nice or the quality of food is quite best or the management of this place is also good, and finally I talk to you this hotel is best in this price.

Bridgefoot House

27/09/2024: We were on a driving tour of Ireland with friends. Staying at the nearby Glasshouse we were looking for a restaurant for dinner that was close by. The exterior was unpretentious but once inside there was a pleasant ambiance. Service was very attentive and the food was good. I had the tempura prawns as a starter which was huge and very tasty. For main I had the slow cooked beef which was also nice. All our party enjoyed the meal.
