A superb meal with great service. Try the spicy shrimp and the ribeye. The wine list has a nice selection. Butter is creamy, salty and delicious as is the bread.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but a very warm welcome greats you. Lovely glass of white wine with Mt sea bass special. Husband had salmon off the menu and said it was delish. He had Eton mess and I had the cheese board. Service was impeccable. Had a lovely chat before we left. Defo give it a go

After landing in Shannon, we had our first evening meal at Henry's Bistro & Wine Bar. We were served two kinds of bread while we ordered our starters. Thr Seafood Chowder as a big hit! Others in our group enjoyed the Slow Cooked Pork Belly. The Tiger Prawns were also delicious! Our entrees included the Pan Roasted Salmon and the Surf-n-turf. The Free Range Chicken was also very good. Try Henry's Bistro &Wine Bar. You will not be disappointed!

The reviews suggested it could be busy enough to be sure of a reservation. Our slightly off season visit didn't need one but they did respond to my request about it. Our server was Oisin, a very friendly lad who tried hard to please and succeeded. I started with the chowder which a person could make a meal of. Then moved on to salmon. Both accompanied by a French Chablis. It was a totally delightful event that I highly recommend.

Knox's

18/07/2025: Knox's Pub in Ennis is an absolute gem! The service is top notch staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is fantastic, buzzing with energy and that authentic Irish pub charm, complete with exposed stone and wooden beams. The Guinness is poured to perfection, creamy and smooth, easily one of the best pints in town. As a GAA fan, I loved catching the Tyrone game (We lost 😢). Perfect for soaking up the excitement with locals and visitors alike. The traditional Irish music sessions are a highlight, with talented musicians creating a lively vibe that gets everyone tapping their feet. And the food? Delicious! From hearty beef and Guinness stew to fresh seafood chowder, every dish was packed with flavor and made with local ingredients. Whether you're here for a pint, a meal, or the craic, Knox's delivers an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to return
16/07/2025: The chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing!!! The chicken bacon carbonara was really not good, don’t recommend. The wait staff was very pleasant and Sam was very nice! We had a reservation for 9 and sadly got seated upstairs and couldn’t be moved to see the live music. So if you’d like a spot downstairs I recommend asking when you place your reservation, as it takes a lot longer to get your stuff because they don’t open the upstairs bar (poor wait staff) Half of the cocktails we got were good, other half were not. Taco fries are pretty good!

Poet's Corner

03/08/2025: Very warm and friendly service, but the food was quite a let down. Pate was good, but the turkey and ham mains were dry, with undercooked broccoli and stuffing from a packet mix.
04/07/2025: Next to last evening in Ireland on our honeymoon. Tasted fantastic and rare Whiskeys you can't find in the states. Damian and Staff are top quality. Wonderful spot for a pint or a bite.
