Herbert Park Hotel in Dublin

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff: from the reception to the bar to the restaurant, everyone was so kind to us. They looked after us in the best possible way in a very difficult situation for us. A heartfelt thanks to: Monica, Selin, Batalua, Vanessa, Giuliana, Alvaro and everyone whose names I don't remember.

Nice hotel, great breakfast, wonderful and attentive staff from the moment you walk in the door until checkout.  Beautiful park right next door. Our room faced an inner opening area with a view of the roof below.  While it is inevitable that some of the rooms need to face an area like this if they are going to have an opening window (or any window), the hotel management could take steps to improve it somewhat. Having supervised construction work for decades, I can see that the mechanical equipment on the roof below is of high quality, but the amount of dirt allowed to accumulate on it is not.  You wouldn't allow your lobby windows or front steps to be so filthy, so why this equipment in full view of hundreds of your guests every week? Clean this up and make this view at least a bit more presentable and people with those rooms won't feel quite so screwed by the high prices charged for them.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Cleanliness is at a high level. Breakfast is varied, with plenty of choice for every taste. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable to stay in. The hotel is located near a beautiful park where you can relax with a walk, and the bus stop is also close by, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!

Great hotel in ideal location. This is one of my default hotels when staying in Dublin due to availability. I was upgraded on arrival and have a lovely view overlooking the park. Park is at the door and in the basement. Gym has a new lease of life with ample weights. I cannot comment on the food as personally I rarely eat on site with so many options on your doorstep but hear good things. Worth a stay in ideal location with very friendly staff. On that. One thing I did observe while waiting for an elevator was a member of staff attending to a resident that was unwell. Reassuring them that whatever they needed the hotel would help and accommodate. I’m trying to keep this vague as frankly not my business but highlights the attention and care they place on residents.

I have stayed in the hotel for work reasons more than ten times. Breakfast is buffet style with wide range of offerings betwern sweets and salty stuff. If you want to have dinner by the bar the low sofas is not the best option, and some if the table sizes are quite small. Rooms are spacious and always clean. Location is really good.

Nice modern hotel. Plenty of seating in lounge & restaurant. Top floor suites have a small balcony with 2 chairs & nice view. However no room on this floor has accessibility options and a wheelchair will not fit through the bathroom door. We were moved to the 3rd floor which was wheelchair friendly. Lisa, the manager was very helpful, even helped with our luggage [no assistance was offered when we checked in - to our room !! ] bathroom was accessible with plenty of grab rails but no seat in shower area for people unable to stand independently. Brought this to a manager's attention when booking out and was told I should have rang reception & 1 would have been made available. Apparently they have 1 shower seat between all the 'accessible rooms" . Word of caution: watch your shins around the bed area as there is a rim surrounding the base !!!! Im sure i wasn't the 1st or won't be the last leaving there with bruised shins . On a positive note the staff in the lounge & restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Herbert Park Hotel is my go-to hotel whenever I travel to Dublin for business. It’s walking distance to my office, has clean, spacious rooms, a lovely view of either the park or a quiet street, has air-conditioning and the best amenities. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk from the city centre but I believe there are buses you can take too. [Edit] Just stayed here again in Jan 2026. A huge shoutout to Jacob for promptly helping with a minor snafu related to my room.
