Loved the no phone rule - and the bartender was very thoughtful and kind :) he remembered all the regulars and engaged in conversation with us tourists !!

Came in for cocktails (that made the barman laugh...), stayed for beer, excellent whiskeys, great encounters, advice on restaurants and live music venues. Even got some traditional songs by the end of the night! Perfect place to discover Cork, thank you Steven! (Also, the "no phone" and "talk to each other" policy is the mighty craic!!)

It is one of the best places to get a pint in Cork, a family owned pub with a lot of character and encourages people to engage with each other as mobile phones are not allowed.

01/11/2024: One of the best restaurants with great food and wine in Cork. The restaurant offers boutique style fine dining experience. You have the option to do their tasting menu. The food, specialty the oyster, the lamb are memorable. The oyster is fresh, with the shaved ice, it adds an additional layer to it. The lamb is tender like a fish, yet with the crunchy crispy skin, with a bit for chard. The service is excellent, the staff are caring and friendly. Definitely need to make reservation ahead of time.

17/10/2024: Would not recommend. Disappointed with the food,mushroom soup had no taste,fish unappetising ,vegetables musy,not sure what they were,desert was OK.Poor night with guests.
