Hi-B Bar in Cork

A Proper old man pub. No phones allowed. Forced to talk to each other. Other places should enforce this too

Simply the best bar in town. It's tiny, but the No Phones rule makes that you can start a conversation with anyone. There's a great atmosphere. Bar staff are very friendly. I sadly have to leave Ireland, but when I return, I will pull up a barstool, get a beer that was recommended by the bartender, and enjoy the evening. Miss it already.

Great and unique little pub. It was recommended and didn't disappoint. Good enough for Bobby Ewing/Patrick Duffy too.

Been to Cork twice before and can't believe I havent been here. It's a small bar up a flight of stairs. Was busy , quirky little place Signs saying no phones which I enjoyed ..my friend and I ended up sitting with 2 older men who made our night. They were hilarious, informative about local areas and where to visit. We bought each other drinks. Fabulous. Spent a couple of hours here. My friend left her bag which they kept behind the bar amd we collected it the next day..and stayed for a couple of drinks. One of my new favourite places in Cork ! No photos as I didn't use my phone !!

Good rule to have no phones in sight, reviving the old art of conversation!

What a place, no phones (Ideal, talk to people Vs starring at a screen) Great conversation, great pints. My wife & I came in visiting from Canada. Andrew served the pints, provided great tips and stories. Paddy was at the bar (no play on words) He too was marvelous, stop by in the afternoon, its small but the characters and atmosphere make it feel 10 times larger than life. Cheers Andrew for a great time, say hi to Paddy the the meanie that was to my left, Luke & Julie!

Great pub no phones aloud everyone actually talks to one another.

This is must visit in Cork. Dont miss it

Not a food place. This pub has been a special iconic place in Cork city for many years, especially with locals who know the rules. 😅. That's what makes it special.
