Great location. And the guy who manages this place is hilarious - make sure you say hi to Maurice.

The hotel was in a great location , and the receptionist was lovely and very helpful . The room was quite large, which was a bonus, but they could do with a bigger tv if you were staying for any length of time .

Good location, close to the beach and walking distance to pubs and restaurants.

Recently stayed here for a night, there is a great aura of the place, highly recommended staying, 1 night is not enough.. Will certainly be back, I had a Room with a bayview too

Lovely hotel, leather setees and fire in reception, very nice restaurant and bar. Room has very comfy bed and a good shower. Big screen tv and great views of the sea. Staff couldn't be more accommodating, breakfast (which is excellent usually served from 8am), however I had to be at work in Kilrush at 8 so brought staff in early so I could eat at 7.15. One small criticism.... the toilet was a macerator which was extremely noisy when flushed. Did not bother me but could not have been great for the people in the next room! Would definitely stay again for either business or pleasure.

This is a very cosy, friendly hotel right in the heart of Kilkee - both cliff walks are within easy walking distance. I booked a single room (it's so rare now that a hotel caters for single people pricewise) and they upgraded me for free. The room was spotlessly clean and cosy. Staff were friendly and helpful. I normally have low expectations for Irish hotel catering, but my poached eggs in the morning were done perfectly, and dinner was above average in quality and reasonable value. The only slight negative is that the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel was a bit too oriented towards eating - there is a lack of a cosy corner if you just wanted a quiet drink with your book. Plus, oddly, there were only lagers available on draught. Just to note that the hotel building is quite old so would not be suitable for someone on a wheelchair or mobility issues. Parking is on the street, but there seems to be no shortage.

Friendliness and helpfulness in abundance here with the staff. Lovely hotel and what a perfect location.. I'll definitely be back.

One of the best sleeps in a while. Comfortable room, good bar and a popular restaurant. The breakfast was just what I wanted and the staff were very friendly and attentive

Great value for money. The outlook onto the beach is beautiful, and the room + breakfast were grand.

My wife and I visited Bay View Hotel several times while working in the area. The first time we noth had the Red Thai Curry, then the second visit we had beef and lamb for Sunday Roast. All meals were very tasty and decent sized portions. The service by the young waitresses was very good and all staff were very welcoming and friendly. The decor of the restaurant is very nice with a nice bar area to relax for a drink. We would recommend this hotel for an evening meal or a Sunday lunch.
