Hook & Ladder Dooradoyle in Limerick

First time trying H&L and it was beautiful. Went for a breakfast with my wife and Can't fault anything in regard to service and the food. We didn't even have a lunch or dinner that day we were so full from the breakfast. Only downfall was price, it was just the 2 of us and cost €50. Crazy for a breakfast but considering it filled us for the day you can understand why.

Service was really good. It has a nice atmosphere in the main restaurant. Decor of the bathroom area is weird and they could be cleaner. Food is nice I enjoyed but it is very expensive. I nearly died when I found out we were charge 17.45 for an OMELETTE. Like it wasn't anything special. Yes it had toppings but that was crazy money. Then 3.50 for a tiny glass of orange juice!! The eggs benedict could have had more sauce for the price. Nice food and staff very friendly but way over priced for what you are getting.

It's got that old time feel about it.

Just had food here today all day breakfast. Our waitress was extremely kind and accommodating. The food was very fresh, big portion sizes tasted amazing. Was over charged by mistake and the waitress fixed the issue straight away in a professional manner. Made me feel very comfortable.

Just OK. Food cold and returned to kitchen. Fresh food prepared and was still cold. What is it that food cannot be served hot.

Good food but slow to get served

The food was generous and very tasty, which we really appreciated. However, they only had the Christmas menu available, and €15 for a full Irish breakfast without coffee felt a bit overpriced. Additionally, it was disappointing that there was no kids’ menu available, making it a bit tricky for families. Overall, good food but room for improvement on value and family options.”

A great place to stop for a coffee or coffee to go if you have a coffee to go cup they reduce your price by a couple of cents so is great value for money! Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Spacious and ample seating. Quick service and lovely coffee! Highly recommend their franchise.
