Great value, fresh meal, family friendly

Sad we were only able to stay long enough to order some scones. The vegan scone was delicious!

I booked a table 2 days before Mother's Day thinking I wouldn't get a table with it being short notice but Gio had no problem whatsoever in fitting me in for a table of 6 for bottomless brunch. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food,ambiance and such great service from staff in particularly Lisa. I have never come across such friendly staff in a restaurant/coffee shop before. A real credit to Hook & Ladder.

Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice and cosy atmosphere. Food was very nice with big portions and reasonably priced.

Food was delicious but waited 45 minutes for it

Overall a great experience. My mushrooms and my bread was a bit more cooked than I expected, but it wasn't an issue. The vibes are amazing though. You do have to wait at least 30 minutes for the food though.

Middling. I ordered eggs Ben and it wasn't hot as if it had been sitting for a while before service. Same for the two farmers fare breakfasts. I have had better from the cafes around the corner.They had a large group of 10 just come in unannounced and were getting them sorted and seated, while we who had a reservation and a difficulty with standing were left waiting about for a while at the entrance. I think the staff were just run ragged and they seemed hassled. They did apologise. Might come back again and see if the food is hotter next time and hoping it might be a better experience. The cold food put me off more than the waiting.

Good food! Excellent hospitality. Would definitely come again.
