Went to this gorgeous place for three nights running! Superb ingredients expertly cooked. Really interesting menu, fabulous ambience, and you couldn’t wish for nicer staff. We feel very privileged to have eaten here. Thank you, and we will come back soon!!

First night of a week long girls trip to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Jet lag from flying from the US, and got a second wind at 9pm so ventured out of the hotel for a drink and an appetizer. Went to a famous local pub recommended by our driver, but in reality it seemed like the Dublin version of a US frat party, so we left. Walking back to the hotel and happened upon Hugo’s. The decor seemed so warm and inviting. Walked in, mentioned we wanted a cocktail and appetizer. The friendly woman at the front said ‘the kitchen is closing soon, but I have just the thing for you, come on in and have a look at the drink menu.’ Geeked out discussing whiskey with one of the servers, Ireland vs TN, so much fun! Ended up with Blue Spot whiskey and a Hugo Spritz for my sister. Delicious! The server brought brown bread and a soft white roll, with whipped chive butter - followed quickly by a beautiful charcuterie platter with a side of crispy lavash bread. Absolutely delicious! Olives, cured meats, pickled relish, capers, walnuts, etc - it was perfect and really satisfying! Everyone was friendly, and it was overall a great experience. My sister left her reading glasses on the table, and Greg personally walked them all the way to our hotel. Above and beyond!! Such a great overall experience - highly recommend. Thank you Hugo’s team, we might see you again tomorrow!

One of my favorite places in Dublin. Always welcoming. Always delicious. And if you can get a table by the window, you are in for a special treat. During my most recent visit, the oysters were amazing and the burrata was like Spring on a plate. Gina runs the place and makes you feel like you've found a new Dublin friend...

We visited Hugo’s for lunch and enjoyed the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant – the interior is nicely designed, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. For starters, we shared the charcuterie & cheese plate and the goat cheese with beef tomato and truffle. We also had the truffle pommes frites, which were very tasty. The food overall was good and well presented.
We paired the meal with a glass of orange Pinot Grigio and a glass of rosé – both wines were well chosen and complemented the food nicely. We would have been happy to order another round if we had been asked, but all in all, the experience was positive.
A lovely spot for a laid-back lunch with good food and wine. We would happily return.

My sister and I enjoyed an amazing dinner at Hugo's Restaurant while visiting with our local cousins. It has a warm atmosphere, refined appointments and the food is phenomenal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a classier establishment to connect with friends and family!

The oysters were great. I had the lamb, and my wife had the short ribs. Both were excellent. We highly recommend Hugo's. Very friendly service, even shared a bread recipe with us.

Chic restaurant
Impeccable service
The cuisine is good but it would be necessary to add quality (rib dish) for a beef 🐂 bourguignon, I make stew with it
If you want to match French cuisine, put more quality

My wife and I fell in love with Hugo’s. You walk down Merrion row and step into a bright blue entrance. You take in the classy yet cozy space. The smell is the first to hypnotize you, until a beautiful blond looks through orange rimmed glasses and welcomes you to her restaurant. Oysters mixing salt and sweet, creamy goat cheese salad all washed down with a local gin and tonic set the pace for an incredible meal. Staff recommended red paired with the tastiest lamb and monkfish was served as our main course. It was all followed by decadent chocolate and peanut butter cake a-la mode. Dessert was lovely conversation and the best recommendations by Gina to make this week unforgettable as we discover Ireland. We will be back!!!

Our hotel recommended this spot for lunch, and I'm so glad they did. We walked in (a party of 8) without a reservation and were kindly accommodated with a quiet table downstairs in what is typically a private dining room. The service, drinks and food were all very good, and the ambiance was excellent.
