Hugo's in Dublin

THIS is what you hope for in a restaurant. Excellent atmosphere matched with some of the best and friendliest staff you will find. Resurrected our food experience in Dublin, and competed overall with any top restaurant in any corner of the world. Excellent from entrance to exit. Food was excellent and well priced.

I honestly cannot recommend Hugo’s enough or in the correct words. We had our family meal after getting married in the registry office and to say it was perfect from the first email to finishing our meal is an understatement. Booking and organising was so smooth and the attention to detail during this time was incredible. When we arrived, we were brought downstairs to our own area which was beautifully decorated, we even had personalised menus with our names and wedding date on them. They were so accommodating to any food allergies and the kids too. The food was absolutely gorgeous and presented so beautifully. Absolute huge shout out needs to go to Greg who was so attentive from beginning to end, caring towards each family member and kids and even made sure my baby niece didn’t go home without her bib (he physically ran down the road to ensure it got home safely!!). Gina, the owner, came to meet us and again was so welcoming. To Gina, Greg and all at Hugo’s, we truly can’t thank you enough for making our special day THE best.

Was here for a dinner with colleagues and it was a fab evening, food was fantastic, (10oz steak) . Staff were friendly and quick. Definitely worth the visit.

We came here on a recommedation from Matt the Thresher staff. What an experience. Our server, Donal, was fantastic and while he couldn't dress up how good the lamb was (it was!), he did a great job on selling the pork chop (which was phenomenal, and 2 of our 4 ordered it). The fourth took the steak and again was not disappointed. For bang for your buck, this was delicious and on top of that the staff were fantastic. We got lucky, and walked in on a Saturday at 7, but at a guess, you may need a reservation to guarantee an epic meal on Merrion Row.

Hugos is everything you want for a quiet (romantic perhaps?) evening out. Intimate, friendly, good acoustics so you don't have to shout over the table, wonderful service and great food. Best restaurant in Dublin.
