Mr Fox in Dublin

From beginning to end, a great experience. Attentive and welcoming team members, looking to make a wonderful evening for diners. Food was exceptional. Set menu well balanced. Extra sides the highlight. Highly recommend

Had a lovely dinner at Mr. Fox on Saturday evening. Food is excellent - service is great - thank you Heidi. Really enjoyed the whole experience. We even managed to get an outdoor table on a beautiful day in Dublin city. It does not get any better.

We dined here on a Thursday evening. We ordered the set menu, and it was very good: beautifully presented dishes that tasted delicious. The accompanying wines were also very tasty and paired perfectly with the dishes. Highly recommended. It was a very hot day, and as a result, it was warm in the restaurant, despite being located in a cellar. Next to us sat a group of 8 in suits for what was likely a business dinner. The wine flowed freely, and they were making more and more noise, which significantly detracted from the fine dining experience. The staff did not intervene, so we eventually had to say something ourselves. However, that shouldn't be necessary in a restaurant of this caliber. That is why I gave the atmosphere 3 stars.

Fabulous foodie experience! Chose taster menu and wine pairings- just gorgeous!

I ate the proposed menu for €73 with a glass of wine, for a total bill of €85. The menu was excellent, with dishes worthy of true Michelin cuisine. The proposed wine, which was brought to me (hot), was also excellent, and truly excellent in taste and preparation. The dessert at the end was 4 stars, but not worthy of Michelin cuisine, so overall, the meal was 5 stars. However, 3 stars were awarded because the cutlery, which is changed after each course, is served directly on the table; a napkin or cutlery holder would have been useful. Unfortunately, only 1 star was awarded to the atmosphere because it was very noisy (at 8 pm) and there were too many people for the room where I ate.

One of the best meals I've had in years. My boyfriend and I planned to have one really nice dinner on our trip, and we chose SO well in reserving with Mr. Fox. Our server was incredible and the supporting staff as well- never overbearing, excellent timing, always a full glass. We had olives and cocktails to start, the fried chicken for an appetizer, the rabbit and the fish for our mains, and the chocolate dessert. Food was impeccable- not gigantic portions we couldn't finish, but perfectly filling. Reasonably priced. Beautiful ambience. I was ashamed to see fellow Americans behaving badly though- one woman actually called someone on Facetime!! The guy next to me was watching football on his phone while ignoring his wife. Lol, I guess clientele can't be helped, I'm just sad they didn't soak in the excellent dining experience like we did.

What an exceptional dining experience at Mr. Fox! From start to finish, every dish was absolutely delicious, with flavours that were thoughtfully balanced and complemented each other beautifully. Each course showcased incredible attention to detail and creativity. A particular highlight for me was the rabbit trecce pasta , it was incredibly flavoursome , rich, and perfectly executed. It's a dish I'll be thinking about for a long time. For dessert, the Valencia orange posset was the standout. Light, refreshing, and bursting with citrus flavour, it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a wonderful setting to enjoy such outstanding food. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout, adding to the overall experience without ever being intrusive. Hats off to the head chef and the entire team at Mr. Fox. Their passion, talent, and dedication shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. A truly fabulous team delivering a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return!
