The food was delicious! The duck and cod fish dishes were incredible!
The service could be improved as the waitress seems a bit impatient without a reason.

Utterly delicious. My only regret is having one free night in Cork to come here. Even a simple dish like steamed edamame beans has been lifted with the perfect touch of chilli and enough garlic to keep nosferatu away for life. The rib eye main was outstanding and a good choice of wines by the glass allowed for a good pairing. All rounded off with plumb sake and an amazing light smoked gubeen cheese cake made for a night to remember. Going to have to come back soon!

Ichigo Ichie offers a warm dining experience with attentive service that sets the tone for the evening. I started with the fried oysters, which lacked a distinctive flavour and felt a bit underwhelming. However, the meal quickly picked up with the duck soba: rich, balanced, and full of depth. The highlight, though, was the matcha panna cotta for dessert: a beautifully crafted dish with a memorable mix of textures and flavours that left a lasting impression. A great spot for a thoughtfully curated Japanese meal.

This is the pride of Asian cuisine, the finest Japanese dining experience here, and the place that best comprehends the essence of Japanese cuisine. It is a stroke of good fortune for Cork that with this great chef's presence, you have the opportunity to savor the most exquisite Japanese delicacies.
I feel compelled to share this: most of the low-scoring reviews do not truly apprehend the soul of Japanese cuisine—they are, in fact, strangers to its depths. This is hardly just or reverent. For those unacquainted, abstaining from critique or choosing not to patronize would be more graceful than feigning expertise.
I cherish this establishment through every iteration of its journey, and I hold in the highest regard the chef’s profound dedication to the delicate art of creating exquisite culinary masterpieces.
I earnestly wish that the quality of reviews by Cork’s residents might be uplifted. Let us transcend ignorance and subjectivity, and refrain from offering casual critiques. While sharing your experiences, please honor the meticulous efforts of the restaurant with due respect.

Had a superb dinner here tonight. I ordered from the specials board--bluefin tuna belly served over rice. Absolutely out-of-this-world--I cannot remember when I had rice that tasted this good! Paired it with a superb Austrian white wine recommended by the server--she seemed both knowledgeable and friendly. A first-rate dining experience--I'll definitely be back here next time I visit Cork!

We ate here for a special occasion recently and didn't feel it was good value, really, or even very nice food.
We had 3 courses, and the edamame beans we got as a starter were the only real veg we saw. I asked when ordering whether we should order veg on the side for our main course and were told no, but the plates were lacking. My main course was Kuro Curry - the black curry sauce was not very interesting but rich and drowned the entire plate so every bite tasted just like the first I was bored of it before I was half way through. The accompanying fermented bell pepper (yes, a veg!) was tiny in portion, less than a garnish, less than a forkful not enough to impart any flavour over the curry.
My gubbeen smoked cheesecake was interesting but not really pleasing and not sweet enough to be described as dessert (throw a bit of ham in and it would have made a nice lunch).
We ate using a gift voucher so blew the last of it on some warm saki which was nice but as others have noted, seems overpriced.
All in all, expensive and disappointing.
