Best Italian restaurant in athlone. Friendly staff. Very good food..

Staff was really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was busy, we came without the booking and they organized table for us downstairs in the pub. Unfortunately food wasn’t great. We had a prawns and goat cheese bruschetta for the starter, kids margheritq, carbonara and rigatoni di bullo. The best thing was kids margherita. Good tomato sauce and good quality cheese. Carbonara made with cream which should not happen in the Italian restaurant. Rigatoni wasn’t bad but for sure needs some salt and pepper. Prawns nothing special, bruschetta was ok but would be nice to get at least some vinaigrette on the lettuce which was on the side. Overall wasn’t bad, but definitely not worth it to come back. 5/5 for the staff, food 2/5

Good place to eat, recommended!

Have eaten here a good few times over the years and never once had a bad experience or bad meal. It’s a Athlone gem. Frequently recommend to customers I carry. My partner brings her workmates for dinner regularly.

If I could rate it a 10 I would. First time having dinner here and it will not be the last 😄. The service made the atmosphere 10X better. I recommend!!!

Super restaurant in Athlone. These guys catered for our group of 30 with organised skill. Food was absolutely delicious and all staff members friendly and efficient. This restaurant deserves huge credit. It was absolutely full on a midweek evening and we soon realised why. The open kitchen was producing waves of delicious food and how the waiters worked. Such a pleasant change from the sometimes corny stereotype of the Italian waiter. These lads and lassies worked their socks off Whilst looking at the menu I was struck by the amount of what I mistook for calzone passing me. In fact it seemed to be one of their most popular dishes - rigatoni with a focaccia top baked in the oven so I had to try it and it was absolutely brilliant. The Negroamaro wine by the glass was good quality too. No room for pudding. Not a relaxing atmosphere but exhilarating watching all the activity and so many happy diners. Great job!
