Went to Jack's Tavern for Sunday dinner. Helped straight away when I arrived, most tables were marked reserved which is always a good sign. For starters I went for the crispy brie on a bed of salad. 1 piece was lovely and melty inside, the other not so much. Main course was the roast beef, slightly tough. 2 slices on a pile of mash potato ( not as creamy as menu suggested ) and some bland semi roasted spuds. Side bowl of vegetables. Lovely thick gravy. Was pleasantly full from the dinner but as its Sunday I didn't want to be rude so I ordered the custard and apply crumble. Big plate, small portion. Lovely presentation but I ordered for the food, not the art. Custard that was spread on the plate was cold ( as was plate ) and it made the crumble soggy. Pub size small coke with loads of ice. At €36, average priced, friendly staff, clean tidy pub and just under the 4 stars total.
I would suggest to make a stop in this local pub Jack's tavern.
It is located on the main street in Camolin and you can easily spot it. The parking area is just beside the pub. I has some food couple of times and always it was testy and the meat very tender. The atmosphere is great inside as a real Irish pub in the countryside.
It deserves to be visited for a pint 👏👏👏💯💯💯
Busy Sunday got in at a good time. Ordered before a large table order and was served within 10minutes. Delicious food and excellent service. Starters, mains and 2 pints each, was extremely reasonable
