My wife and I stopped in here on our way home. We were served by a lovely young man who was full of knowledge of the local area for walks.
We both had the stake sandwich, and I have to say 10 out of 10, we'll definitely be back.
Well recommended
Had communion lunch here. Food was beautiful, lovely atmosphere and service was excellent. Very happy with everything and would recommend celebrating special occasions here. The food is divine everyone was blown away with the food and service. Thank you
Fantastic experience today. Super friendly service, food was great & I can see why Jack's has many recommending it for a visit.
Will be back again for sure
Went to Jack's Tavern for Sunday dinner. Helped straight away when I arrived, most tables were marked reserved which is always a good sign. For starters I went for the crispy brie on a bed of salad. 1 piece was lovely and melty inside, the other not so much. Main course was the roast beef, slightly tough. 2 slices on a pile of mash potato ( not as creamy as menu suggested ) and some bland semi roasted spuds. Side bowl of vegetables. Lovely thick gravy. Was pleasantly full from the dinner but as its Sunday I didn't want to be rude so I ordered the custard and apply crumble. Big plate, small portion. Lovely presentation but I ordered for the food, not the art. Custard that was spread on the plate was cold ( as was plate ) and it made the crumble soggy. Pub size small coke with loads of ice. At €36, average priced, friendly staff, clean tidy pub and just under the 4 stars total.
