Really delicious food in a great location. Black sole fried in lemon butter was absolutely superb. Best fish I have had in ages. Scampi - perfect.

Food was top, beef fell apart with knife accompanied by tasty veg, it could have fed two people! The fish of the day Cod had a light and fluffy texture with a tasty batter, no greasy oil to it. We ate with our kids and the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it.

I had a midday meal here today and I definitely recommend eating here. The owner greeted me at the door and suggested the lamb shank my type of grub and Very enjoyable. For others it was Prawns , Muscles, Chowder, Or maybe Catch of the Day. I enjoyed listening to the owner accurately predict a customer's test to coax them in the door and it worked Amazing.

I agree with another review that noted mediocre food at a high price. We stopped for lunch after a beautiful drive through Healy Pass. I had the scallops and my husband had the crab sandwich - the scallops were boiled (?!) and were tough. Husbands crab sandwich was fine but nothing to write home about. The potato salad was nice. Go anywhere else is my recommendation. Or maybe don't get the seafood.

Belmont Demesne

26/05/2026: An amazing afternoon in Belmont for our daughters second birthday. The perfect place for a relaxing afternoon with kids. They had some games outside for the kids to place. Gorgeous pizza and of course some nice beers for the adults. We were able to bring some games and toys ourselves and the kids kicking their balls around with mini goals. Group of 35 of us all had a great time. A special thanks to Orla for helping us organise before hand and a massive shout out to Nik who looked after us all on the day!
15/05/2026: A little gem close to the Mountains, great walks and a lovely cafe.
