we’ve gone here before and really loved the food. We haven’t been in about 6 months and the entire menu has changed and is way smaller now. The food is expensive for what you get, they forgot one of our sandwiches and it was rushed out to the table. The cheese wasn’t melted on any of the food, we ordered garlic cheese chips and most of the cheese was at the bottom with very little sauce. My partner found something hard in their beef toastie which seemed to be a part of a bone. Staff were very good despite everything. Food was disappointing for the price that you pay and it’s a massive downgrade from what it was.

Full Irish was 10/10. Fresh ingredients tasted so good along with very very nice and accommodating staff. Nicest breakfast I’ve had in months easily!

Kept forgetting our order, took about 45 minutes for food to arrive when it eventually arrived, the food was really oily and salty and yet again forgetting a part of our order and on top of that the food was very overpriced. Overall, nice staff but the business is unorganised, slow and not well stocked.

Philip Healy

12/10/2025: Went for family meal at Phil’s. Staff super friendly warm and very accommodating! Portions were massive and very tasty! Kitchen had closed but they brought out a little token to celebrate a family members birthday!! Lovely atmosphere and chilled vibes. Would recommend to all!

The Bridge Tavern

06/04/2026: Such a lovely stay! Really comfy, cosy rooms, super clean, really calm and quiet, and right in the centre. Beautiful view of the river while you have breakfast! Parking was on street and easy and the food was delish. They adapted the menu for me to make it gluten free too. Super worth the money and a really lovely stay. Thank you so much! WiFi wasn't working though, we did ask about it but it didn't get fixed. Just FYI! Thanks so much!
02/04/2026: Had my first Guinness beer (in Ireland) here. Food was fantastic and view was outstanding.
