Best pint of Guinness we had in Dublin. The vibes were great - staff and other patrons made it a lot of fun. Would absolutely recommend!

Still the best pint of Guinness around. My only problem is it is so popular it is hard to get a spot to sit. So go early or during the week if you want a quiet pint.

I’ve been meaning to get here for years, the Guinness is legendary.
So to say expectations were high, is an understatement.
Vibe in the bar is really relaxed - mind you this was a Wednesday.
Seats were hard to come by, it’s not a huge pub so be prepared to have your drinks outside.
As for the Guinness.. it’s good, it’s very good.
Best pint I’ve ever had? No… but it’s on my top list going forward - I’ll need to go back before it can claim the top spot for me.
Will be back for sure to check out the graveyard and quench my never ending thirst for Guinness

Called in this evening with my parents. Food was great & a lovely atmosphere. Stand out was two of the lovely staff, I should have asked for their names. My Dad loved the warm custard with the dessert and appreciated the effort made during our meal!

What a gem. The staff was just lovely and the food was amazing too. Fresh ingredients prepared with love. I especially recommend the seafood chowder.

You travel across counties for a place like this. Known through the land as the best pint of Guinness, I can't confirm or deny that but I can say it's absolutely smashing.
Great atmosphere and a great story about the pub aswell.

Both the restaurant and pub were amazing. The coddle was maybe the best soup I’ve ever had in my life! A+

John Kavanagh’s, affectionately known as “The Gravediggers,” is a cherished Dublin institution that has been serving patrons since 1833. Nestled beside Glasnevin Cemetery, this family-run pub offers an authentic Irish experience, free from modern distractions like televisions and loud music. The interior exudes old-world charm, featuring traditional wooden furnishings and a cozy atmosphere that invites conversation. Renowned for its exceptional pints of Guinness, many consider it among the best in the city. The menu boasts hearty, home-cooked dishes, with the coddle being a standout favorite. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, a stop at The Gravediggers promises a warm welcome and a genuine taste of Dublin’s rich pub heritage.
