Great food and service. Was a busy night and we were told from an overly apologetic server that we would have to wait 10 minutes. It wasn’t that long. Had the salmon which was excellent. The whipped goat cheese was also really good. I like goat cheese usually, but this even didn’t taste “goat/cheesy”.

Crowded, cozy! We hadn't booked a table but they sorted it out quickly 🥰 The food was really good and we were all super happy. Best dinner we had in Galway during our days there 💚 Everyone is really very kind in general in Ireland ❤️

We had deliberately booked this gastro pub in advance. The food was really excellent. Big praise for the kitchen. What annoyed me afterwards was the service. We had reserved for 7 people in advance. The table wasn't free at the booked time. The pub isn't suitable for a group. Our group had to sit separately. We were served by a woman. Unfortunately, she didn't do a very good job. Sorry. You're looking forward to an evening and are prepared to spend enough money. And then the service is unfriendly and you're treated like an annoying tourist. It could definitely be better. But as I said, the visit is definitely worth it for the food. We deliberately didn't leave a tip. It wasn't a big deal. Our server couldn't be found when we were paying anyway.

Great food, lovely atmosphere and good service. You can’t ask for more really. I had probably the best chicken supreme I have ever eaten, and the whole experience was great.

What an iconic Irish pub! We can definitely see why John Keogh’s Gastropub is award winning! It is a beautifully decorated Irish pub in Galway’s Westend. It has an incredible atmosphere and absolutely lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters: whipped goats cheese and pub bravas . My only criticism would be that the whipped goats cheese could use more toasted mixed seed crackers. Our mains were equally delicious: the mussels and burger. My husband rated the burger as one of the best he has ever had. The portion sizes are great and the dishes are reasonably priced and what one would expect for an award winning gastropub. We will definitely be back!

We had a great dinner here after our Aran Island tour. Short walk from the docks and were able to grab a table at 6pm on a Sunday night with no reservation. Fish and chips enjoyed by a few, others had a burger or supreme of chicken. Onion rings were very good! Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was tasty!
Delicious fish and chips and great Guinness

Somebody send us there the first night we stayed in Galway: The food, we heard, was good. It was more than that: Service was class, craic was ninety, and the grub outstanding. We went back there on our second night as well.

Amazing food. We had lamb and mash and also a burger. We also shared the brisket croquettes.
The food was fantastic. So tasty and well presented.
Good Guinness and decent prices.
Staff were really lovely and the lady who was the Maitre D, was really helpful in finding us a table even though it was packed.
Might be worth trying to book if you can.
