Come here and eat. Good beers. Sweet waiters. Pub food...but incredibly well done. Want chicken presented with an edible flower? Go elsewhere. Want to eat real local products? How do the Irish eat them? Come here. PS. The vegetarian selection is also very respectable. P.S. The fries, however, could be improved by using hand-cut ones, but that's the only flaw I don't feel like lowering the review for.

Somebody send us there the first night we stayed in Galway: The food, we heard, was good. It was more than that: Service was class, craic was ninety, and the grub outstanding. We went back there on our second night as well.

Amazing food. We had lamb and mash and also a burger. We also shared the brisket croquettes. The food was fantastic. So tasty and well presented. Good Guinness and decent prices. Staff were really lovely and the lady who was the Maitre D, was really helpful in finding us a table even though it was packed. Might be worth trying to book if you can.

09/09/2025: A great restaurant for seafood! The risotto is really good, as are the croquettes (but really expensive, €12 for three small croquettes). The service, in my opinion, needs to be improved. It was quite slow (it took a good twenty minutes for us to take our order), and then when it came time for the starters (to share), they didn't bring us small plates (even though the server offered them), and the wait between courses was also quite long (at least half an hour).

The Kings Head

26/08/2025: The place is very nice! The waiters were very kind and helpful, and offered us several suggestions when we were ordering. The meat was very good, and I also really enjoyed the soups. They also had a children's menu...the only thing that left me perplexed was the children's meat (a thin slice cut in half). The desserts were good. The prices are fair. Recommended!
26/08/2025: The kings head is the oldest pub in Galway and probably in Ireland as well. Pints of Guinness was excellent, music scene and atmosphere is even better. We went on a Monday night to a jam packed pub with good singers. Highly recommend if visiting Galway.
