Nine of us arrived on 10/06 after the kitchen closed and they kindly fed us anyway. Courteous service, generous portions, very good and tasty food. Convenient price... I would go back tomorrow. Thanks

Stopped in for a late lunch on the way to the Cliffs. Had the special - roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies. Gravy was delicious and the creamy horseradish was amazing! Service was quick and friendly. Thank you for the quick scrumptious meal chased by a tasty pint of Guinness! Grabbed a few orders of chips for the road.

It looked like a cute place, and the people where very friendly, but the food was tasteless. We had the fish&chips, it had really no taste. Unfortunately also the coke tasted like it had been oopened for a few days. Maybe we had just bad luck.

Family meal on Easter Sunday with a live Hurling match. The pub was full, we ate very well, the waitress was very friendly and yet she had work!!! Great atmosphere!

We went after seeing the Cliffs of Moher, we are from Spain, very good food, excellent service and exceptional treatment. We were served by 2 super nice young girls. If you want to eat well and try typical beer... it's really great.

Fantastic pub with very good food and a smile from its 3 waitresses. Let's review the vegetable soup and the claim showder. Very good sandwiches and hamburger and stew. Terrace at the rear. Good beer as it could not be otherwise. Out of the hustle and bustle and in a quiet environment. Highly recommended

We ate here twice during our 9 day adventure and all 4 of us Ireland Travelers agreed that the food at Joseph McHugh's was the best. Best chowder, best bacon and cabbage. I especially enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer.

Situated right next to where we are and stayed went here for a drink some very funny local characters in the bar quirky bar would defo call there again

Visited McHughs today for some lunch. We all ordered Bangers and Mash. Absolutely delicious. Tasty and plentiful. Two of us had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and one had apple pie. All were absolutely scrumptious. It was such a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere in McHughs and the lady who served us was friendly and not intrusive. We will definitely be back here again. A very big thumbs up from me!!

26/05/2025: We were recently in Vaughans for a family dinner during a family break in Clare - 8 people over 3 generations - it’s not our 1st time here ! We came back for more having had a super meal here a couple of years ago - the menu is predominantly fish .. but steak on the menu too. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 courses - the scallops were delicious and the monkfish, halibut & steak deserve a special mention too. All delicious - Spoonies Icecream on the desert menu with yuzu caramel was a firm favourite- service was very efficient but not the friendliest waiter - a smile here or there would not have went a stray ! But that is our only criticism. We thoroughly enjoyed & highly recommend this spot for dinner.
