Excellent live music. Relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly service and good food. Of course, the bar has good beer and a large selection of whiskeys.

The food is very good. We ordered the large plate for three people, which came with everything, and we were full by the time we were halfway through. While we ate, there was live music and Irish dancing. The waitress spoke Spanish, which helped us choose our dinner.

Dinner (lamb + stew) was perfect, service friendly and attentive, and the ambiance wonderful. An all-round successful evening.

We had a particularly disappointing experience tonight at 6.30pm, having brought visitors here before when it was much better. The female staff at the entrance was far from welcoming; we didn't have reservations (nor did we any previous visit..there were only 4 of us. Her male staff member immediately said there was plenty of tables upstairs (which there was). The service throughout was slow, disinterested and understaffed. The piped music was very loud for conversation but they did lower it on request. Huge wait for starters, and then the mains. The Bam Bam prawns..expensive for a small portion. Sweet potato fries soggy. The salmon and beef stew were lovely. The gaelic chicken was overcooked, dry..it's usually lovely. It wasn't particularly busy so definitely could be improved..I would be reluctant to bring visitors here until that happens.

Good food and amazing location!

J.R. Mahone's is the only pub to visit! The atmosphere, food, and service are great, leaving no reason to go anywhere else.

Heerlijk gegeten. In goede sfeer. In een mooi pand dat historie uitstraalt! Vriendelijke bediening. Reserveren vooraf is verstandig. Ook eigen biertjes. En traditionele Ierse gerechten.

Me encantó este pub único, rezuma carácter, tiene muchos niveles, tiene unas pocas zonas de estar privadas, s, así como una zona de comedor, y unos pocos bares. personal amable. vale la pena visitar Dublín solo para ir a este pub.
