Had a lovely club sandwich and my partner had a sweet chilli panini, he said he loved it. We also had a hot chocolate to share which was very tasty. Overall would highly recommend.

Kafe Katz was a pleasant surprise in Kilkenny city centre. Located near Kilkenny Castle and other tourist attractions, it offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks, as well as brunch options and pastries. Good prices, friendly service, and generous portions of great food. Highly recommended!

We stopped in for a quick meal to take with us back to our bus. The service was quick..,very quick! I go the croissant with bacon and cheese heated. It was PERFECT! Hubby got a turkey, ham and cheese panini. He said it was the best sandwich he’s ever had, and we travel and eat our OFTEN! We are from NC in the USA, and really appreciated the atmosphere, service and food provided!! Thank you!!

Me and my friend get breakfast here sometimes and it is always amazing. Their food is always fresh, hot and flavourful. Their coffee is also some of the best in kilkenny. The staff is also really friendly. Highly recommend.

08/03/2026: Had a beautiful stay with my partner this weekend. We were let down by another booking and were in quick need of somewhere to stay. Anne accommodated us with a moments notice and made our stay truly special for a weekend I’ll never forget. Thank you to all the staff for their generosity and accommodation of allergic needs for us! Will definitely be back can’t recommend them highly enough there

02/01/2026: A good friend and local recommended here so we decided to treat ourselves on the last day of 2025. My husband and I shared the garlic prawn plate with homemade bread at €15 which whilst delicious was small in volume. I ordered the fish of the day (cod at €24) and my husband had the battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce at €19.50. Fish was fresh and tasty. Our children had a choice of sausage and chips or battered fish and chips and ordered one of each at €10 each. The only thing I would change would be to add some vegetable to the kid's meal to make it more balanced, healthy and filling. For drinks, we had water for the table, glass of milk (€2), Miwadi (75 cent) and a glass of Horgelus at €9. Overall, very impressed with the quality here. Recommended if in Kilkenny.
06/12/2025: We had a small Irish breakfast and it was very good! Everything was hot and fresh! Staff was very accommodating! Would highly reccommend! Sorry I forgot to take pictures.
