Food is okay, atmosphere is very nice. There are plenty of car park spaces outside. Both waiter and waitress are friendly and welcoming. Starter: Pork & crab roll (average) Main: Chicken Khao Soi (noodles) & Pork wonton with barbecue pork ball (soup) - recommended Dessert: Ube ice-cream + Namkhaeng Sai - recommended

Golden Elephant

16/12/2025: Golden Elephant in Douglas is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai food with a simple, flavourful menu. The Tom Yum soup is outstanding and full of bold taste. The spicy peppercorn wok fry and ginger tofu & veg stir-fry are absolutely delicious. Udon noodles were perfectly cooked and very satisfying. The food is worth every penny.
03/12/2025: Still exceptional 👍 Have not been here for years as moved away from city. Remains one of the best places to eat and worth the drive into Cork, all tables full on a Tuesday which is a good sign. Every dish cooked and presented perfectly
