Kavanaghs Pub New Street in Dublin

31/03/2024: Authentic Indian place hosted within the hipster Blackrock market. Owners, waiters and guests are mainly Indians, which is a good sign. We all fell in love with what we ordered. You cannot book this place and it is often packed, better arrive for opening time aka 12. To embrace the spirit you are better off eating with your hands. Consider taking the Gobhi Manchurian with Paratha (a cauliflower dish) as a shared starter, it is absolutely delicious (and I don't like vegetables;). This place is a feast of flavours that will leave you wanting for more!

28/03/2024: I ordered the paneer masala which was nice but only contained 5 pieces of paneer cheese and didn't come with any rice. Even with the extra portion of rice I ordered I was still hungry afterwards which is a first in an Indian place. Overall food was nice but atmosphere not so much. The owner and staff are lovely, but it's extremely loud and tight and we felt like we were being rushed with the food. We were asked to pay and clear the table for the next guests as soon as we finished the food, even though we still had drinks on the table. For the prices we paid I would have expected to be allowed to sit and chat to my friend for a moment after finishing the meal.
