My annual visit to Keoghs has been amazing. We had lunch and dinner in one day. Service was 5star. Fresh local seafood is the best in the area. Family friendly with gardens. Keogh a is a Connemara icon that you must visit. Also music Agus craic.

Mitchell's Cafe, menu

09/07/2026: Amazing experience, would highly recommend a visit. We arrived for 10.15 on a Sunday and spent the day exploring, and attending the history talks to learn more about Kylemore. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant, walked to the walled garden, there is a shuttle bus, but we walked, had coffee and cake in the Tea Rooms.
09/07/2026: Worth a visit. It's about a 2.5-hour drive from Sligo. A magnificent abbey. Nuns still live there, so some areas are closed. Parking is convenient, and the restrooms are clean. The Irish lamb stew at the restaurant is delicious.
