Khyber Garden in Kells

The food was delicious the service was great but the restaurant was freezing we were seated beside a big radiator which was cold. I had to keep my big coat on for the whole meal. It wasn’t enjoyable.

This is one of the best “Indian” meals I’ve had outside of London, even though the owner is Pakistani. The food is incredibly fragrant, cooked to order and really tasty. The staff are very friendly and happy to recommend and explain the menu. The portions are good and the value for money is great. The only minor quibble is the decor is too dark but it’s a very minor one.

I live in Dublin and without hesitation I now would classify this Indian as the best I’ve been to - presentation and quality is five star, the vegetarian options are amazing. I will he back .

The gold standard for curry. I always went here religiously, until I broadened my horizons, I’ve tried a lot of Indian restaurants in my area, some good, some bad, some I went back to. But every one I went to I contrasted with Khyber Gardens, and Khyber wins every time. Massive credit to the chefs for consistently giving excellent food to the same high standard every time! It never disappoints, you are guaranteed a good meal, the waiting staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is always quaint, perfect for good conversations, tables are well spaced apart and it’s always a great time in there. Generous with the popadoms and the dipping sauces are tasty, plentiful and high quality. The vindaloo is hot and full of flavour, which is hard to perfect but they do. The peshwari naan is so good it converted me from garlic naan. The madras is also excellent. The friends I had who never tried an Indian, this is the place I bring them. By far the best in the business.

It was our first time dining here. After having disappointing dining experiences in other food establishments, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and quality food here.The appetisers and sauces were the highlight. Would recommend and will return.
