Kinara in Dublin

We celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner here. The customer service was amazing, the waiters were attentive and charismatic, the food was spectacular and so flavourful! We couldn’t get any pictures because we couldn’t wait to eat it all!

Llegamos para una comida reservada para celebrar el 80 cumpleaños de mi madre, una ocasión muy especial para nuestra familia. Después de haber conducido desde Tipperary, elegimos este restaurante porque una vez había sido nuestro favorito cuando vivíamos cerca. Mencioné esto al hacer la reserva, esperando que se sumaría a la sensación de ocasión. Lamentablemente, la experiencia no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. A la llegada, el hombre que nos saludó era cortés y poco acogedor. Nos apresuramos a ir directamente a una mesa que estaba tan cerca de los demás que nos sentíamos todos sentados en una larga mesa comunitaria. Era incómodo y completamente carente de privacidad. Afortunadamente, una amable y atenta camarera entendió nuestro malestar y nos ayudó a trasladarnos a un lugar más adecuado. Fue decepcionante ver a los huéspedes delante de nosotros, que parecían ser habituales, que ofrecían bebidas en el bar antes de su comida. También hubiéramos apreciado esa opción, especialmente dada la importancia de la ocasión. Un mes antes, había cenado aquí y me quedé impresionado por la comida. Fue excepcional: complejo, refinado y bellamente equilibrado. Nos encontramos con un hombre amable, con ropa tradicional, y aunque llegué tarde, todavía era maravillosamente acogedor. Esta vez, tristemente, la comida se sentía plana en comparación. No fue malo, simplemente poco notable. Todo sabía un poco demasiado similar, sin la sutileza y profundidad que había admirado anteriormente. Para un día tan especial, simplemente no valió la pena el viaje ni el costo. En contraste, almorzamos al día siguiente en The Ivy, y la diferencia fue notable. La comida era excepcional, el ambiente cálido, y mi madre se hizo sentir realmente especial — todo lo que esperábamos en esta celebración de cumpleaños. Escribo esta reseña con la esperanza de que lo que está pasando con este lugar se puede arreglar, ya que siempre fue una joya.

A lovely little gem of a restaurant in a tranquil and scenic location on the edge of Dublin. The food is on point, the staff is courteous and polished, and the place makes for a charming experience for a date night or even a solo diner.

Very good food and service. Long waiting time and low temperature on the terrace, which is supposedly inside the building.

Overall a nice restaurant. Only criticism would be the side entrance is the main door now. You also had to ring a door bell to be let in. Unfortunately on the night we visited we had to wait for someone to open the door and it was cool outside. Have to say the venue and the bar on the ground floor excellent. We will be back.

Always amazing food and service here. Early bird menu is particularly good value.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place, the staff are all absolute gems, one girl in particular has been fantastic any time myself and the missus have come in (I don't know her name but she had dark hair and a septum ring, she's amazing) the food is some of the best I've had in a long time, it's always a pleasure to go into, well worth every penny!

Everything here was excellent. Very welcoming staff, lovely decor and amazing food.

Nice restaurant, lovely staff. Food was fine but not outstanding. This was my 1st time there. No reason to rush back, but wouldn't object to going again if it was organised.
