It's gone down hill since I visited it some time before the cod is not as good as it used to be, and I don't appreciate being told what to do by the one member of the staff, as I am, as always courteous and friendly to all, but the rude.

I dropped into this fish and chip shop, and was glad I did, as I hadn't eaten all day. The fish was well cooked and the chips were too. I was astounded by the amount of chips that were in the box. There was enough for at least two people. The lady on the next table, even commented about how many there were. You certainly would not leave hungry. A half portion of chips would have been enough.

Stopped in for some grub as I was driving all evening and it was late and I hadn't eaten any dinner. Nice takeaway, I got in just before closing and staff were friendly, efficient and busy. Premises was clean. A handful of customers were in and out whilst I was there. Parking is on street, quiet at the time, probably harder to get in day time or evening. Food was good and service quick, I had chips and battered sausage with strawberry milkshake and it was tasty. Will return again.

01/10/2024: Staff very friendly. Service was fast but didn't feel like we were being rushed, quite a relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely, albeit the portions were not very big and expensive for what you get but main reason for losing a star is, despite saying vegetarian/vegan options available there was one main, a stir fry with a bit of rice which was also vegan but there were no vegetarian starters, I was able to get one adapted by asking for no parmesan cheese, which is not a vegetarian cheese, and they obliged but overall disappointed with there being no choice. We did not get a dessert as none of the options really appealed to us. It also wasn't marked what ones, if any, were vegetarian, cheese cake, trifle and tiramisu being three of the options that sometimes contain gelatine.
17/08/2024: One of the nicest meals I had in a long time. The duck spring roles for starter were the nicest I’ve ever had and the rib eye steak was really succulent and tasty. Really friendly staff too. Highly recommend

16/01/2025: They require ID now to sit in. I had mine but my wife didn't have hers so they didn't allow to sit in. Ridiculous
07/01/2025: Nice quiet and peaceful place for a break in the mid of hectic life... nice quiet and somewhat relaxing atmosphere, accompanied with nice welcoming staff. And... the coffee is great! :-)
