Kingstons was absolutely wonderful! The rooms were superbly clean and comfortable. (I'm a touch critic) The beds were unbelievably comfortable. The owners were very professional, welcoming, and kind. We had the best time enjoying dinner and drinks down in the stunning pub in the evenings. You must get the ice cream! This was one of our favorite stays during our Ireland trip. Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel with a great bed, although a bit short for a 190 cm tall guest. Good breakfast. Very warm welcome and very friendly service. The pizza in the pub is excellent.

The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom is modern and has everything you need. Perhaps it would have been a bit lacking in an electrical outlet. The staff is very friendly, both at the hotel and at the pub where they serve breakfast, which, although cold, is quite filling. You can also dine on excellent pizzas right there, as the pub has a great atmosphere. So much so that we had dinner there two of the three nights we stayed. Although the town is very quiet, it is very well located for visiting the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. In addition to the hotel pub, you can find several places in town that have live music on weekends. If that's not enough, you can go to Killarney for dinner, which has a great atmosphere, just about 20 minutes away. Highly recommended.

Kingdom 1795

20/03/2026: This restaurant gets so much right- it makes it a great destination to plan a break around. The evil genius that is the chef, who can dream up perfectly balanced combinations that you can still recollect weeks after, keeps on delivering. I had a quail sausage with a a Cooleeny cheese & shitake mushroom fritter, that was by far the best starter I’ve ever had.
02/03/2026: UPDATED 2026: We returned for our 3rd visit--first time under the new management and we had another exceptional dining experience. Lovely front of house service and delicious and beautifully presented food. We enjoyed the Waygu and tenderloin entree very much and also the monkfish. The ravioli appetizer was gorgeous and incredible as was the venison one with a lovely parsley "couronne". Desserts were excellent particularly the chestnut mousse. While we missed the previous chef's sourdough bread the bread and crackers with mushroom mousse and seaweed butter were very good. We will be back! PREVIOUS REVIEW We had an absolutely divine dinner at Kingdom 1795 last night. The food was beautifully presented, original and each bite sheer pleasure. We were actually nearly speechless during courses we were savoring each bite so carefully. Original combinations (such as scallops with broth of pork belly and peas) which worked incredibly well with balanced flavors that made each ingredient shine. I loved my turbot with violet artichoke, shitake and sea lettuce with a beautiful delicate sauce. My husband loved his beef tartare and lamb. The desserts--rhubarb choux with burnt meringue and cheesecake ice cream as well as the caramelized custard, fried dough and herb sugar (zesty lime and perhaps thyme on a bed of cream) were incredible and beautiful to look at. And the BREAD--a gorgeous sourdough and brown bread were the best we have had. In addition Suzi and servers were all so nice and helpful (hard to choose with so many enticing menu choices) and the restaurant is a beautiful relaxing space. We can't wait to be back!
