Kumar's Taste Of Asia in Galway

We loved it. Our particular standout favourites were the lamb balti and the potato/cauliflower dish. They had a very good deal of 60euro from a set menu of 2 starters, 2 curries, pilau, naan and a bottle of house red or white. We had that and added some other dishes and the four of us ate "family style" . Service was lovely.

Food was ok, small portions. Very poor service, long time waiting for the food and it seems as if the waiting person does not have any idea what is going on. It seems to be a disconnect with the kitchen. The carpets on the stairs to go to the bathrooms are filthy!!! I would not recommend this restaurant.

Our last night in Galway was fantastic. The culinary highlight was Kumar’s Taste of India. Staff were inviting, friendly prompt and helpful in discussing the menu. Great selection! Poppadoms and three tasty sauces started the meal~complimentary. We limited our experience to Butter Chicken, Raita, Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan. All was excellent! Portions were bigger than what we typically expect. Prices were also better than what we have typically paid. Decor was interesting ~ our eyes wandered the walls. This is a must experience in Galway!

The best Indian food in galway! Most authentic place to get good Indian food in galway. The Jalfreezi was delicious. I really love the decor and family style feel to the restaurant as well.

Decent food, quirky decor. Only getting 3 stars due to outrageous cost of a large cobra beer...€12!!!
