KYOTO in Clonmel

Got some Singapore noodles , they tasted like they had been microwaved. Super friendly staff. But the guy behind the counter had been cutting his nails and the sound turned me off already not great food.

Great Asian restaurant! I am not crazy about Asian food ,but this place surprised me . The service,food and atmosphere are amazing ! Very clean ,very polite Asian lady ! We had starters and main course and all was delicious! Highly recommend!

Very fresh, pricey but very wholesome and tasty. Minimal wait times, very polite staff. Parking is sporadic near the restaurant. Limited seating but overall a very pleasant experience

Delicious asian Food but a little expensive

The Positives: We found the restaurant to be pleasant and comfortable with a nice ambiance, whilst the service was friendly and efficient, if a little too prompt on occasion. The Negatives We commenced with Sushi, which we found to be expensive for what was received. We ordered Norimaki, salmon with cucumber and eel with cucumber. The fish within the rolls was proportionately mean, whilst the rice was under seasoned. Both issues significantly negatively effected the overall appeal on the palate. We also ordered Futomaki, Tempura Prawn and Asparagus which was more flavoursome with a more adequate proportion of tempura prawn and pleasant on the palate, in part due to the tempura being warm ! akin to sushi one would find in Mexico. We eat a lot of sushi, both throughout Ireland and abroad, and whilst I can't say it was bad, it most definitely wasn't great, and most definitely not created by a sushi trained chef, whilst also as stated being overly expensive for its quality and content. For main we both ordered a curry, one prawn and one beef, which we both found to be relatively bland and the dishes sat heavily in the stomach once consumed. The flavours weren't crisp nor well balanced resulting in the dishes being substantially one dimensional. I don't wish to be negative, however as stated whilst the restaurant was pleasant, I've had much better food, representing for better value for money.

Foods fabulous, service is quick and the waitress are all so nice. Keep it up.
