La Dolce Italia in Dublin

I came here because of the good reviews and they did not disappoint. Food and service were excellent. I'll definitely come back.

Absolutely gem of a restaurant. So glad we stumbled on this place while holidaying in Dun Laoghaire. Great food and wonderful staff. Very authentic.

We came to La Dolce Italia and what an amazing experience! The food was absolutely excellent — fresh, authentic and full of flavour. The staff were so warm, friendly and attentive. We loved the beautiful outdoor seating under the grape vine, it felt like being in Italy itself. Just loved everything about the place. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Lovely food and very authentic atmosphere. Seafood pasta was delicious, amazing fresh pasta cooked to perfection and the portion size was perfect. My only one gripe is the very nice waiter seemed to be under pressure to upsell throughout the dining experience - easing off on this would make the whole meal nicer. But would go back in a heartbeat

I am actually at a loss where to start with how wonderful this place is. OK. Minute we walked in we were greeted by lovely friendly helpful people who clearly love what they do. This carried on throughout the evening, so bless them for their love of what they do! Food. OK, I'm actually salivating as I remember it (you needed to know that eh?!). Was just about to sit and detail what we had, with rating, but feckit - everything we had was outstanding so just going to list. I would crawl through fire for any and all 😄 Celeriac soup Home made bread Garlic sourdough Monkfish pappardelle Chicken escalope Deconstructed cannolo Poached pear Great wine list, too. Please go, enjoy, but do not enjoy so much you stop me getting a table! All above dishes top stars 💚

Visited La Dolce Italia tonight and had a lovely meal. It’s a small, cosy café-style Italian restaurant with limited seating, but the food was delicious. We enjoyed the Parmigiana Classica, garlic bread with cheese, Ricotta e Spinaci, and finished with the crème brûlée and the baked lemon cheesecake special of the day and everything was fresh and full of flavour. The espresso with Amaretto was the bitter and sweet. The only reason for 4 stars is that the prices feel slightly on the higher side considering the simple interiors and limited seating. Overall, a great place for authentic Italian food.
