An stunning gem in the centre of Wicklow. The food was so authentic with beautiful ingredients - in fact the best Italian food we've had outside of Italy. Would definitely recommend the risotto and tiramasu :)

Really great Italian restaurant, with magnificent service and delicious food. Wide variety in pasta dishes, with vegetarian options, and pizza. Tons of good italian wine and beer.

This is a gem!!! Situated in the heart of Wicklow town, it's as authentic as you're going to find outside Italy. The setting and service are welcoming, friendly, and convivial, while the menu, food and drink are first class.
It's clear from the staff and from the plates of food that a tremendous amount of care, attention, and pride goes into preparing and serving the delicious dishes with a no-fuss and friendly attitude.
We dined as a group of four on a busy bank holiday Sunday evening. No prior booking so we were told that a table would be available in 45 minutes which gave us time to enjoy a drink at a nearby pub.
Starters were fabulous; crostone, fried zucchini flowers in light batter, bruschetta. Mains were equally good; both types of ravioli (the porcini one was especially good), pizza diavola, and the ragu Bolognese were all excellent and the portions were generous. Desserts of tiramisu and affogato were enjoyed with gusto! The breads are particularly impressive.
Great selection of Italian wines and beers too, and the staff were happy to discuss these and make recommendations.
The pricing is very reasonable, especially given that the dishes are prepared and cooked entirely on site - it's clear that this is a restaurant that takes enormous pride in creating and maintaining the highest standards of food, service, and ambience.
It was a memorable meal - wonderful food in a friendly and relaxed corner of Wicklow that felt like being in a hidden gem in Italy.
I highly recommend!

We stopped in to grab some takeaway food but then found out that they had tables to sit at, so we did. It turned out to be a very good experience and the pizza was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and kind. The only disappointment was that they were closed the following 2 days and we wanted to return to try their pasta but we didn’t get the chance because we had to leave Wicklow. If ever in Wicklow, I can highly recommend La Locandina, it is great and the pasta being served to others looked wonderful. The restaurant is run by 2 Italians, so the food is authentic.

Wicklow's best kept secret. Seek it out, you would walk past. Small, friendly, family run Italian with excellent food. Felt like Italy. Extensive a la carte and pizza menu. Nice wine. Reasonably priced. Cant wait to go back.

Really good Italian restaurant! Went with my girlfriend, ordered a carbonara and a pizza! The carbonara is delicious, the pizza is superb, the best pizza eaten in Ireland! Quiet and really nice place in the center of Wicklow! Nice and friendly owner recommended what to visit! Greetings from an Italian!
