La Locandina in Wicklow

Excellent authentic northern Italian food and friendly service

I recently dined at an La Locandina restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked, with a rich, creamy sauce that had just the right amount of flavor. The bacon was good. The dish was a perfect balance of creamy and savory, making it one of the best carbonaras I've ever had.

Really good Italian restaurant! Went with my girlfriend, ordered a carbonara and a pizza! The carbonara is delicious, the pizza is superb, the best pizza eaten in Ireland! Quiet and really nice place in the center of Wicklow! Nice and friendly owner recommended what to visit! Greetings from an Italian!

Great food, very traditional Italian. All the salads coke with a bread which was a nice surprise 😄

Got a takeaway from La Locadina last night, it was 10/10 across the board. Delicious food, great value for money as the portions were massive! (We're literally eating it again for dinner tonight as leftovers, there was that much ). Great delivery service and food arrived piping hot even though it came from Wicklow town to Rathdrum. Can't recommend enough, also go the extra on your order and get a dessert with your main, we got the profiteroles and chocolate pear tart and both were delicious.

We had Al Prosciutto Cotto pizza and Affumicata smokey pizza. Both amazing and I haven't eaten such a nice dough for a while.

We went to this place late in the evening, as soon as we arrived in Wickow. We were welcomed by the owner with kindness and generosity. Intimate and welcoming place, truly excellent food!
