La Locandina in Wicklow

An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! We celebrated our wedding here, in August, with a small gathering of 11 family members, and we honestly couldn't have chosen a better place. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be more grateful to the wonderful owners for making our day so special. The food was incredible, as always: delicious, authentic Italian cooking of the highest quality. The owner (Simona) was so helpful in putting together a special menu just for our celebration, and every single person commented on how amazing the food was. They even went out of their way to help us source a delicious cake from another Italian bakery, which was such a thoughtful touch. Simona truly went above and beyond. She decorated the restaurant with beautiful flowers, fairy lights and candles, creating the most romantic, elegant and intimate atmosphere. Having the restaurant entirely to ourselves made the occasion feel incredibly special, and the care and attention that went into every little detail meant so much to us. What really stood out was the genuine warmth, attentiveness and generosity of the staff throughout the whole experience. The service was exceptional, and the prices were remarkably reasonable for the quality of the food and the level of care we received. We were genuinely blown away by the entire experience. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a small wedding, a special family occasion or an intimate gathering, we couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. I love their pizza! To me as I really like thin pizza this ticks the box. They also make great flavours.

A small but charming restaurant with good food and friendly service on Wicklow's Main Street. A 10-minute walk from the harbor. We really enjoyed our visit.

The owners are great. The food is lovely and the place has a very chilled vibe.

Had a lovely pizza for take away and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Lovely, quick and friendly service. Authentic food, lots of cheese on the pizza which was delicious. Simply amazing!

The pizza was absolutely delicious — I haven’t had one this good in a long time. The dough was perfect, and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. I only regret ordering just one! I will definitely be coming back.

The food was excellent, really authentic Italian done properly. Everything we had was full of flavour and clearly made with care –we ordered simple dishes but done very, very well. The pasta in particular was spot on. Definitely recommend booking as it small but the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed to sit in and enjoy your evening Service was friendly and easygoing, no fuss, just genuine and welcoming. All in all, a really enjoyable night and definitely one we’ll be repeating.
