La Piccola Italia in Limerick

Food was generally OK. Mussels for starter were very good. Main - the Filetto al Pepe - tasty, but presentation very poor. This medallions in pepper sauce looks like a blob on the plate. It was served with some sliced and roasted potatoes, which were fine, but a piece of cauliflower and brocoli served with this dish in my opinion does not work at all. Tiramisu for the dessert was ok. Restaurant does not have any sweetener for coffee and waitress offered honey instead. Well, that is also sugar... Place is a bit run down - hanging bare wires from the ceiling, not build in properly aircon unit, so it is not adding at all to the atmosphere.

Okay, but our mains and dessert dishes were disappointing. Maybe we were just unlucky with our picks. Service was great.

Cute little restaurant with a simple menu (completely sufficient), there is no pizza. Food was very tasty. Great friendly service. Unassuming and not very appealing from the outside, but that changes once you're inside. Highly recommended!

You have to look to find this little gem. From outside, I was a little nervous about having dinner there, but I am glad we did. The staff was polite and attentive. The meal was fabulous. The portion size was excellent. The prices were reasonable. Had a great dinner, that to all who work there.

La Piccola is a warm place with great staff and good food. We visited the Italian restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The ambience of the place is great and warm. Perfect for q quiet dinner. We unexpectedly had a colleague join us with their young child (not mentioned during our reservation). The staff were generous to accommodate us and were very patient with the child. The only complaint would be about the quantity of food portions (especially the seafood ravioli). It is not very filling. On the other hand the pizza looked good. Desserts were delightfully delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Italian tired of Irish cuisine?....refresh yourself here and you won't regret it. It is below street level. Better to book unless you arrive very early. Pasta all'aranciota and carbonara cooked to perfection!
