La Scarpetta in Skerries

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I had the special of the day- white base - Mortadella-burrata and pistacchio nibs. Paired it with a glass of Italian white Vermentino wine that brought out the delicate flavours even more. Simone is amazing in giving a warm welcome. For dessert we had a creamy pistacchio profiteroles. Definitely don’t miss it out. Thank you for the lovely food!

Incredible Pizza & Authentic Italian Vibes at La Scarpetta! La Scarpetta is hands down one of the best Italian spots I’ve been to! If you’re a pizza lover, this place is a must. The crust is perfectly thin and crisp with just the right amount of chew—clearly made with skill and passion. Each pizza is wood-fired to perfection, with high-quality, fresh ingredients that speak for themselves. We tried the Special pizza with tomato sauce, spicy salami ,nduja,hot honey .The tomato sauce was rich and flavoured , the mozzarella was creamy and melted beautifully, and the toppings were generous without overpowering the balance of flavours. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The Tartufo Nero dessert was the perfect balance of rich dark chocolate and creamy indulgence.The outer shell had a satisfying coca powder,giving way to a smooth cream , velvety center with just the right hint of bitterness from the dark chocolate and a touch of sweetness. Each bite felt luxurious and deeply satisfying. If you're a chocolate gelato lover, this dessert is non-negotiable – a true showstopper! I would come back just for this. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a touch of rustic Italian charm. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to walk us through the menu and wine pairings. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. La Scarpetta has definitely earned a spot on our go-to list. Whether you're dining in or grabbing a casual pizza night, it's a five-star experience every time. Highly recommend!

Food and service was excellent and great selection on the Menu. Main courses were a little on the small size and weren't served to everyone at the same time.

Went here with my husband and son and had a wonderful time.Even though they were fully booked, they managed to get us a table.the staff are excellent and so polite.the food was fab ,hot and plentiful. The prices are reasonable too,will definitely go back.

Delicious food prepared with top quality ingredients. We had linguine alla puttanesca (seabass version), and napoli pizza. Everything starting from olives, anchovies, capers to sugo di pomodoro was of a premium quality, and both dishes were perfect. They also have a nice selection of Italian wines on the menu! Definitely coming back.

Such a lovely restaurant. The food is amazing, recommend the Burrata Caprese and the penne arrabiata! Will be back for sure

A very nice family friendly restaurant in the heart of Skerries. Food (4 pizzas) was excellent and not overloaded. They also have a reasonable wine selection and Moretti on tap. I'll be back.

Italian restaurant on the main street in the centre of Skerries. Popular and busy. Nice food, good service but with Dublin prices. Nice pizzas are 19 euro each, main courses are all around the 25 euro mark. Most bottles of wine are 35 euro, minerals are 4.50 each. Interesting decor, resembling a trendy nightclub with 1980s music to match. Wheelchair friendly.

We went for dinner at 7.45. We didn’t get our order in until 8.25 and our starter arrived at 8.50. I understand it was busy but this level of service is not good enough. It was a bank holiday Sunday and they had 3 staff running the floor. Food was lovely but I won’t be back for dinner due to the time taken to be served. There needed to be much more of an interest shown to tables and you could tell everyone was frustrated.
