Really lovely townhouse where there is great attention to detail, from the welcome truffles to the choice of shower gel. The owner is very welcoming and we were also very impressed with the range and quality of the breakfast options.

The room was not the biggest we had ever encountered but it was clean and the windows were sound proofed so the main st traffic noise was not a problem. It has no parking which is made quite clear when booking so it was no surprise and we were luckily able to park outside each night.. The hosts are very affable and professional in their dealing whilst the breakfast is superb. The beef brisket hash with 2 eggs is a gourmet start to the day and certainly better than any other traditional option. It aone is wirththe overnight tariff of 150 E.

Service was amazing, food was the best in 4 years of living in Ireland. Salad, fish, pasta, and beef were all exceptional! The entire experience was superb!

This is a lovely guesthouse on the main street in Kenmare, connected to a nice restaurant. The place was kept in great condition and it was noticeably clean. The beds were very comfy and I didn't find the noise too bad for the main street. The breakfast was excellent (above the standard). The only comment I'd have is that the parking situation isn't ideal with the nearest public park a bit of potluck and not the most organised carpark.

This was one of the best places we stayed at on our trip around Ireland. Rick Steve's hit the nail on the head. This is the place to stay in Kenmare!

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough...we wandered in almost by accident and what a treat it was. We opted for the vegetarian options...though the fish options also looked very appealing. A lot of thought and skill went into the dishes we had. Every mouthful was delicious. Staff were friendly and music was low, mellow jazz. A must if you like good food and you're visiting beautiful Neidín.

The Lime Tree

04/05/2025: The moment you walk down the driveway and see the fairy lights twinkling and the candlelight glowing , you know you’re in for a real treat. The atmosphere is cheerful , the staff so welcoming and friendly, the food is superb. I know there are many very good restaurants in Kenmare and sometimes it feels like there is TOO much choice. But having been to the Lime Tree I can honestly say that it’s the pick of the bunch. The atmosphere, the lovely staff , the quality and the presentation of the food are second to none. Eating here is a memorable experience. They’ve managed to tick all the boxes , and I love the fact that it’s owned and run by a family all working together as a team to make your night special. I cannot wait to go back.
24/04/2025: Fantastic evening at the Lime Tree - beautiful setting with a cosy table by the fire, and exceptionally welcoming staff. Food was super, particularly the fish of the day (hake) and potato gratin. Can't wait to return next time we're in Kenmare!
